I had felt very nervous just before i started to take English lessons from Raul. I had some anxiety and a negative thought about i will never learn English. After taking my first class, i changed my negative thought. I have been taking English class for 2 months and i feel the differences and improvements on my language skills. Raul is a perfect teacher. He is so professional and informed about how to teach. He makes me more courageous to learn English every day. He is also very patient, kind, friendly and understanding. He shares all his informations, sources and experiences about what you want to learn. Learning with him is a big joy. I feel not only happy but also very lucky to know him and to take class from him.
Very professional dedicated ELS teacher. Learned a lot during english lessons!!!
John is a very good teacher - he helped me gain confidence behind the wheel and on the road. I learned a lot in the few lessons that I've had with him, things that go beyond the license test. He is very patient, concise and attentive!
Meena tutored my 7th grade daughter in English Comprehension at my home for about two hours at a time. She is always on time, and she always pushes my daughter to do better.
Sandy is a very wonderful ESL teacher with rich expertise! Highly recommended! My 7 year old daughter enjoys her lessons very much. She always prepares tailored materials for kids and knows how to teach kids very well. My daughter is extremely happy with her classes and improving her English in a very impressive way. Without any doubt, 5 STARS!
I’d like to validate Connor’s excellent method of teaching English. He is able to work with different types of resources which are interesting and relevant. He can explain a subject in a clear, straightforward manner when a non native English speaker (like me) struggle to use expressions from everyday life; not only expressions but also other more advanced subjects of grammar as well. Connor’s classes are dynamic, informative, and you always end up learning something. I recommend Connor as an English teacher for everybody, no matter the level of English; he will guide you all the way until you get it right.
Dr.V is an incredible French teacher. I really enjoy his teaching technique. I am confident that if I continue my lessons (2x a week) for an indefinite amount of time I will be fluent in reading, writing and conversation. I recommend Dr.V without reservation. I can't wait for my next lesson!!! Merci!!!
We all know when it comes to the SATs there is guaranteed to be a lot of stress. As a sixteen year old high school student going through the SAT process, I can vouch for this. My anxiety began months ago. I admired people who had started their SAT prep a year before, while envying students who were just naturally good test takers, scoring 2000 and up; however, when you dont fit into either of those categories you start wondering what now? At that point an SAT tutor seemed like a good idea. Enter Danny Ahn. The first time I met Danny, I was unsure what to expect. He understood my confusion and began to structure a plan of action. He soon established the level I was at in English and Math, and then focused in. After a few sessions I began to understand the kind of approach required of me. I have worked with Danny Ahn weekly since around late October or early November, 2013 and our work is ongoing. It is now Feb. 17, 2014. I have found Danny to be a good communicator and listener. He is dedicated, nurturing, focused, and hardworking, going beyond his allotted time with me to help me achieve my goals. He genuinely cares about my mental well being as well as my academic standing. He is readily available on the phone and via text, and has proven to be accommodating with regards to scheduling. I believe that Danny is pushing me in the right direction and I am feeling increasingly more confident with regards to the dreaded upcoming SATs. Danny has an excellent understanding of the SAT requirements and I feel that with his continued guidance I can achieve my goals.
For the past few years, Danaya has helped me structure and edit various versions of my resume, CV and many cover letters. She is very thorough and patient, always willing to take the time to explain her suggestions for changes. If she is working on something for me and we aren't able to meet, she types up her notes and explanations. She has also translated a variety of documents for me - personal and official (English to Spanish and Spanish to English). She's a great translator because she can adapt the language so if doesn't sound "translated," but like it was originally written in English/Spanish. I will definitely keep working with Danaya!
My experience with Kit it was very good. She has a lot of skills that helped a lot. I'm Brazilian and went to NYC just on vacation but wanted to improve my English in different way, with private classes introducing things day to day and mixing with tour around the city, visiting gallerys, coffee shops, running away from traditional format of classes. I chose and proposed this format because was my vacation and I had just two weeks to enjoy he city and improvement as much as possible my English. She is a very good teaches, helpful, easy going and intelligent. But I know that was a challenge for her. I think that she can improve this format, but with some adjusts It's a very good option to who want to scape of traditional classes. Brenda.
I really enjoy my lessons with Martha. She is very helpful and its great that she has been able to tailor our lessons to my specific needs and goals for bettering my grasp of Spanish. It is really clear that she is a great teacher who cares for her students. I would definitely recommend her to others who want to improve their skills.

I am in the U.S. just for 5 months. I am learning the grammar and writing in an English school. But I need to learn to speak. Mrs. Thiele has taught me to speak correctly. She is just awesome. She has taught very well and her personality also very great. I have learned a lot from her. I appreciate her so much. My speaking is getting better because of her lesson. Thanks

Amanda works with my son who is in 6th grade. We live in Shanghai and he is really excited to work with her 3 times a week on English, history and his writing skills. They talk about books and she is great with improving his writing and grammar skills. She really goes for topics that excite him like sports and science. It's great to have a private teacher for my son he is going past grade level with this extra learning and practice each week.

I am passionate about teaching, and my greatest reward is to see the smile on my students' faces at the end of the day.
Most teachers, like me, are professional musicians who supplement their income by giving lessons. However: I genuinely love teaching and would happily do it even if I didn't need the money. My students can see the passion and excitement I have for my work, and that does wonders in their ability to learn and develop. It is one thing to play an instrument well, but it is another thing entirely to know how to teach it well.
