Raffaella is a fantastic Italian teacher. As someone who quite typically feels nervous learning a foreign language, Raffaella made me feel very at ease and learning Italian actually became a fun thing to do, rather than a torturous embarrassment, which was how languages felt when I was at high school! Her approach to teaching is different from what I was used to, and made me feel more confident and engaged than I had expected. I highly recommend her.
Ciao! My wife and I had the pleasure of taking beginner Italian lessons with Antonio. While my wife excels at picking up other languages quickly, I am the opposite. No matter. Antonio was accommodating to both our strengths and weaknesses and tailored the lessons so that we both got the most out of our time together. He is very kind and generous teacher. I would not hesitate recommending him to anyone looking to learn Italian. Buona fortuna!
Robert teaches Italian lessons. I am a terrible student frequently confusing my High School French with what Robert patiently teaches me. He is good humored, well prepared and pushes me along just enough. I am never frustrated but always encouraged. Robert always is smiling and I never feel silly with my pronunciation. Robert really is a great teacher. I wish I had met him years ago before my first trip to Italy. I look forward to my lessons all week. Bravo Robert!!!!
Giuliana not only is a wonderful teacher, she has a warm and friendly spirit that is magnetic. She has a beautiful accent and is very patient with Italian students; enthusiastic and encouraging. Even on my worst learning days, she would be my personal cheerleader. She really is the sweetest person, very organized, very knowledgable, and very fun to talk to! I love the flexibility of her lessons- she really tailors them to what your individual needs are. Mostly we practiced spontaneous Italian conversation and talked about every topic under the sun. Whatever will help you she will collect materials to make sure you're learning to your appropriate style, whether it is audio/visual/ etc. She is genuinely proud of her students and it's easy to see that teaching is a gift she has. From video links to recommendations for tv shows, to information about Italian culture, Giuliana is a rare find. I hope to stay in touch with her for a long time, I highly recommend this teacher to anyone with a desire to learn Italian.
I took Italian lessons on Skype for several months prior to a trip to Sicily. Antonio was always encouraging, energetic, and guided me through fundamentals of the language. Importantly, I learned enough principles of pronunciation to communicate on a very basic level.
Ciao! I was looking for a way to keep up with my Italian and Paola was the perfect answer! I really enjoy our Italian conversations, weekly essays, and Italian assignments. So grateful to have found her!! Grazie Mille!! ?

It was easy working with Mariateresa, as I am in the beginning stage of learning Italian. She will be contacted again for another session very shortly.
Madame Viale teaches me French outside of school and she is the best French teacher I've ever had! She is so kind and accessible. With each lesson I don't feel like I'm learning, but I am always surprised at how much I have improved with my French since she has been teaching me! She is a great teacher. Merci Madame Viale!
I am an Italian teacher. I have been a tutor in Italy for several years, and I was a substitute teacher in Atlanta at the Italiano Language Center. I can teach both grammar and conversation for adults, children, individual and small groups.
Most teachers, like me, are professional musicians who supplement their income by giving lessons. However: I genuinely love teaching and would happily do it even if I didn't need the money. My students can see the passion and excitement I have for my work, and that does wonders in their ability to learn and develop. It is one thing to play an instrument well, but it is another thing entirely to know how to teach it well.

Fluent City classes are geared towards learning, but we also make sure that the process is super fun. Our energetic and approachable teachers create a relaxed environment for you to take on the challenge of learning a language alongside like-minded people. There is a huge difference between knowing how to speak a language and knowing how to teach it, and we pride ourselves on hiring teachers who are ridiculously good at what they do: explaining how the language works and getting you to speak it immediately. Our beginner classes are usually taught by non-native speakersâÃÂæon purpose! They are often Americans who learned the language themselves as adults. Our teachers understand, firsthand, everything that goes into learning a language because they were once students of the language themselves, which informs the very way they explain how it works to you. Native speakers or teachers with native-level fluency usually teach our higher-level classes.
I teach French the best that no one can teach. I teach from scratch so that everything flows easily and you learn.
