Mr. Connor has been working with my children the last two years. He is an amazing teacher who is very patient and kind to my children. He is teaching them Chinese, singing, drum and guitar. Unlike other teacher we had in the past, Mr. Connor incorporate games and songs into all his lessons which makes language learning much more interest. My children adores Mr. Connor and looking forward to work with him every time.
I've been taking private tutoring lessons in Cantonese from InspirLang's Ms. Woo for about 9 months already. I have to say that I noticed a significant improvement in my Cantonese. I love how each lesson is custom made around a particular topic, to address an issue I have, or based on a request I made. I'm a believer in speaking the language to get better at it, so a decent amount of each lesson is centered around conversation. Ms. Woo even provides audio and a lesson transcript so it's really convenient and easy for me to go over what was taught and discussed from the lesson. The customization of each lesson definitely makes the language learning experience more personal and you become more invested in your development. I highly recommend Ms. Woo if you're looking into learning Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, or Taishanese)!
Lin Peng is an excellent instructor. Her lessons are very well organized and interesting. It is a pleasure to learn Mandarin Chinese with Lin!
Only one lesson so far, but we were very happy and satisfied with Ruth and her instruction. My daughter got a lot out of the one hour session and really enjoyed it! We have committed to work with her on a weekly basis and are looking forward to it.
Larry is a great tutor. My daughter was struggling with a difficult Chinese class and thanks to his classes over a period of 6 months her grade went up to B+ and A. He is very encouraging and also someone who gave her great advise. I strongly recommend him.
Mina has been teaching my three children, ages 10, 8 and 6, for the past six months. She is a dedicated teacher who is able to teach Mandarin to them in a fun and engaging way - my children look forward to lessons each week. They are eager to practice what they've learned and are proud of their progress. Mina understands the needs and learning styles of each child. I would highly recommend Mina to anyone who is interested in having their children learn Mandarin.
Nichol is a great tutor with a kind and outgoing personality. She asks your specific wants and needs when seeking Chinese lessons and tailors each lesson to fit your exact requests. She's been a great help!

Most teachers, like me, are professional musicians who supplement their income by giving lessons. However: I genuinely love teaching and would happily do it even if I didn't need the money. My students can see the passion and excitement I have for my work, and that does wonders in their ability to learn and develop. It is one thing to play an instrument well, but it is another thing entirely to know how to teach it well. Everything. I love working with people, especially children. I love making others feel proud and rewarded for their accomplishments. I love using music to facilitate such positive experiences in people's lives.

I received my Master of Fine Arts degree in dance and choreography from Smith College as a teaching fellow, and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance performance from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. I have served as a faculty member for Boston University, Bridgewater State University, Colleges of the Fenway, Kennesaw State University (KSU), Louisiana State University (LSU), Regis College, and Smith College. I have presented work at national professional venues including Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Boston, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans and New York in addition to Beijing and Taiwan. I have received funding nationally and internationally to conduct my research on Dance and Culture. My diverse training in both ballet and modern dance and teaching experience combined with my professional experience has provided me many tools on which to draw upon to be a successful leader, educator, and choreographer. It is important to me that the next generation of global artists can connect their own art to their personal perspectives as well as to others in society. I hope to inspire students who care about their art as much as the world in which they are living.
