Jason and his son did a great job re-grouting the tile in my bathroom and installing ceiling fans in two rooms. Communication and scheduling was easy. He was knowledgeable and his pricing was within my budget. I'd recommend him to anyone! Thank you!!
I used Varian to patch repair dry-wall. He was able to do the job the next-day, he was on-time and did an awesome job. Would highly recommend!
We needed a plumbing repair late Sunday afternoon at my parents home (60 year old house with original copper plumbing). They had found water on the floor of their finished basement. It was not gushing, but a steady drip. We shut off the water to the house. Matt responded quickly through Thumbtack, and was at the house within a couple hours. It was a cracked fitting, which he repaired. Price was reasonable, he was professional and we will use him again. He also called the next day for follow-up.
Marvin did a very good job recaluking tub tiles and remount in a towel bar that fell off the wall.He did an excellent job in repairing and repainting a damaged vanity.
Juan was extremely flexible on timing, very communicative, professional and efficient. My shower was leaking into my downstairs neighbors' apartment and he came in to regrout my bath tub tiles the afternoon I reached out to him. While he was waiting for the grout to set, he tightened all the hinges on my kitchen cabinet doors. Juan returned the following morning to check and fix the shower faucet, washers and water lines. He discussed all this with the building super to be sure the leak was completely fixed and no more water was getting into my neighbors' apartment. I have already agreed to hire him again for other projects.
Jim, arrived on time and did an exceptional job of completing the repair work within one day. I was very happy with his workmanship and would certainly call upon him again in the future.
I had a small repair of my stone steps outside my house. I had contacted him 6 months ago for a quote and then put the project on hold. When I finally decided to go ahead with the project, he honored the original quote and the job was done that week. Looks great!
General Handyman work was performed. Very small projects included drywall repair, painting, roof repair and wood door frame repair. Work performed timely.
Konstantinos went above and beyond. I needed to repair damage to my living room walls and paint over a dark accent wall to match the existing paint in the unit. I was not able to find the same paint but Konstantinos did a beautiful job blending and completely covered up the areas where plaster had been ripped off from removing a pressurized wall. Not only did he do a great job on my painting / repair but he also helped me patch up some damage to my floors as a courtesy and all at a very reasonable price (and really the best price I could find after searching Thumbtack and Yelp). Would definitely hire him for future jobs.
We only signed up for thumbtack in hopes of getting a less expensive bid on our project than the one from our original contractor, what we got was the Fratturos! From the moment Harry and Brian (father and son) walked in and started looking around our kitchen, which was totally gutted from a flood, you could tell they had done this many times before. From our simple Home Depot design sketches and sharing of our ideas they were able to give us great advice and some do's and dont's on our kitchen remodeling project that we received from no one else. Two major selling points on our second walkthrough are why we hired them. They were able to figure out that the placement of our kitchen island was going to interfere with both opening the oven and our back door! Huge save... Then when we discussed not having enough storage space they took the initiative to measure out just enough room for a pantry and wine rack just off the Dining room table area. We were impressed, and sold. We handed them kitchen project and our basement refinishing project which included moving walls, doorways and remodeling the bathroom. We couldn't be happier with their work. The estimate we received from Fratturo Home Remodeling was actually a bit higher than we wanted to go... but we trusted them and that's priceless. I believe we saved in the long run, because there were no surprise fee's after the project started or extra costs due to poor planning. I highly recommend the Fratturos and thumbtack!
Felipe is excellent in every sense of the word. He came on extremely short notice as my furnace pump decided to start leaking water all over the floor. Within hours he had the problem diagnosed and repaired. He recommended some other repair-work that was very much needed in my utility room and also handled that also. All for a very reasonable price. He's very communicative and on top of the job. Highly recommended.
Great job overall. My fence broken in a storm and Herson and his team was able to fully repair it. The repair required the removsl
speckling and sanding, wall repair
Sam and crew did a fabulous job from start to finish. We had multiple jobs like sheet rock repair and finishing, painting, grouting tiles, minor electric and plumbing work as well. He finished all of these within 3 days. The price was reasonable and he offered full clarity into the price per job as well. Sam and team were very professional and we had a pleasant and stress free experience.
Al did a good job with some drywall repairs and painting on a quick schedule.
We had chosen Marco based on his excellent reviews, but unfortunately we didn't have the same experience as most people. We hired Marco to replace flooring tile in our kitchen, foyer, powder room and laundry room. With the exception of one day where he had to cancel, he did arrive between 8am and 8:30am with a partner and they got to work right away. They were quiet and respectful, but the language barrier was an issue at times. Prior to starting the job, we had mentioned to Marco that although we weren't concerned about the walls since they were being painted, we did request that he be careful around the doors and wood trim which had been painted recently. After he was done, we saw mastic and grout on not just the doors and trim, but also the base of our kitchen cabinets. He wiped off a lot of it, but I continue to find it as I'm cleaning. I do wish he had been neater perhaps taping up a plastic or paper to protect the base of the doors and cabinets. We had also pointed out many areas where there was hazing on the tiles left from the grout not being cleaned off immediately. He tried to remove some of the haze on his last day, but it had been too late to wipe it off without using a haze remover. I wasn't planning on writing a review since his price was reasonable and the items I've mentioned can be cleaned up. However, a few weeks into the job and the grout is now coming out of the joints in pieces. I've attached photos of where I was using a lightweight stick vacuum to clean the kitchen floor and the grout just got sucked right up. When I went to investigate, the grout just crumbles into powder when you pick it up. I'm not a tile expert, but it seems like perhaps the grout that he used in this area was too dry? I'm pretty frustrated at this point because I keep finding little areas here and there where the grout has just disintegrated. I know there were areas where they had not fully scraped out the mastic between the joints and just laid grout on top (which I know isn't proper), so they went back and scraped out some of these areas and regrouted, but even then, this should not be happening. It's been exactly 3 weeks since he finished the job and the grout should not be coming up like this so easily; it's like powder. The cracked grout is throughout the floor. I can't even say it's concentrated to one area, so I don't know what happened, but it's very disappointing.
Prompt , very courteous, flexible, understands spanish, and very knowledgeable. He is worth every penny in gold. He has knowledge of his craft, and of other types of repairs. Sewage, Plumbing, Electric, Drywall, Flooring installation. I will be using his services for quite some while.
Frank was early and got right to work on my siding job. He had matched the color perfectly! (no easy task) The job was completed on time, perfectly done and at a reasonable price. He is a skilled craftsman and I was very pleased with his work. I will recommend him to family and friends if they have need of work on their homes. Give him a try if you need anything done in home improvement or repair. My first experience with Spirit Contracting and thumbtack and it was a very satisfactory one. Thank you Frank for a fine job. Bryan

I had them remodel and repair every aspect of my home the work was done very neat to my surprise the house was up and running in no time. I was guided through the work and they saved me lots of money on material cost. I would definitely recomend and will have them pave over my backyard this summer. The right contractor for any job!!
If I could give Jason 10 stars I would. EXCELLENT communication. HONEST and TRANSPARENT pricing. Showed up on time. Did the job (tearing down a tile wall, retiling and grout work) with a METICULOUS attention to detail. He cares about what he does and takes pride in his work and the experience working with him was hands down one of the best contractor experiences I've ever had. Trustworthy and an absolute pleasure to work with.
I wanted my new home painted and some plaster repair done, and am so grateful I found Omar Graham on Thumbtack. Omar and his crew exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the job. Right from moving furniture to Painting, finishing. They completed the job on time including immaculate clean up. Omar has an eye for detail and perfection. He is also incredibly patient as we painted 2 colors in each room and it didnt seem to phase him. He was very professional and had a sense of humor which helped. Needless to say, we can't wait for him to be back for our next project. It was a great experience overall and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a stress free paint and plaster job.
