I contacted Frank late night after my toilet tank stopped refilling and there weren't any issues with the pump. He came out the next day to check on the problem, right on time, without a consult fee to start. The piping ran under a crawl space, and Frank jumped right in to properly diagnose the situation in order to avoid structural damage to walls or ceilings. He was thorough, explained everything that he was doing, found/solved the problem (frozen pipe). I'll definitely be contacting Frank for any future plumbing issues in my house.

Do not hesitate to book NYC Plumbing, HDC! Lazer responded within minutes of my request. I booked using the app, but when he called I asked if he could come earlier. We agreed upon a time but he called back to indicate that he could accommodate me even earlier which was perfect. When he arrived, I showed him the job and he provided an on the spot estimate. He gave me a suggestion for an improvement (note…..he was NOT pushy) and stated that he had the part in his truck. We agreed on the details and price , and I felt comfortable enough to ask him for an estimate on a different job in a different apartment. We then went to assess the other issue and I immediately said “let’s do both”. He fixed both plumbing issues quickly and had me look them over. He also agreed to come back if there was ever an issue. I then showed him a future job I’m considering and he also gave me the phone number for a contractor to work on part of the job. I will definitely be calling Lazer back for additional work and I’m even somewhat hesitant about posting this review because I don’t want him to get too busy lol. However, I cannot be selfish because I know how much I rely on reviews. Also, it’s sometimes difficult to find quality work, trustworthiness, and professionalism for a FAIR price. Lazer had all of it and some!

I could only choose three qualities that I valued about Daren when in reality, there were many more! He was incredibly helpful in explaining the problem and the different options with regards to how to go about fixing it, he was also always on time and made sure that he didn't leave until the job was done to the best of his abilities. If he needed to come back because it turned out to be a busted pipe (yeesh!), then he would secure it so that our house didn't get destroyed and return asap and fix the problem which makes me feel very confident that we won't be running into this issue again anytime soon. I can say with confidence that he'll be our "call" guy for all of our plumbing needs. He's also very friendly, always wears a mask, and his prices are very affordable. I'm really so glad we found him!

It was past 5pm on a Friday and I was in a bit of a bind. I had shut off the water supply to the house in order to change a leaky valve with a broken packing nut. Unfortunately, I had a very old valve and you can't remove the handle from the stem to get at the packing nut. I would have to replace the entire valve and I knew that was beyond my scope and I had to call a plumber. Most plumbers would take advantage of the situation and charge very high prices for the job which is exactly what happened. Herbert is the exception. The earliest I could get Roto-Rooter or anybody else to come by was either morning or noon the next day. I'd be without water the entire time too. Herbert was a God-send because he reached me in less than an hour from the time I placed the project on thumbtack! Instead of taking advantage of the situation he HELPED me with the price! He definitely deserves all the stellar reviews that he's got on this site. If you have plumbing issues, save yourself time and trouble and call Herbert. He knows exactly what he is doing and was done with the job in less than 30 minutes. He also answered some questions that I had related to the issue at hand.

Adding yet another stellar review for Gio. (I just use Gio now after going through several others). First, he customizes service based on your needs. he asked several questions around what type of water heater i needed (auto water detection, length of warranty, etc) Second, he does quality work. I have seen many other plumbers cut corners like not sanding connectors, not using the right plumbing liquids when connecting joints, etc. Lastly and most important, even when he is done, he is not done. He sticks around testing the installation throughout the full line, not just around the work site. This way no other surprises come up later. Third, value. Trust me, once you compare average prices to have similar work done in your area (lots of websites you can use to do this) and when gio quotes you, you will be very happy. I have been using Gio for over 2 years now on several projects on my 100+ year old house. Trust me, if he can handle the revamps of my house (check out other reviews I have for Gio) he can tackle anything you can throw at him. I can't recommend Gio enough! Ed

Came in to (1) fix our leaking sink (2) redirect water flowing from leaking pipes that went underground, to pipes going along the ceiling and (3) put in necessary hookups for a washer and dryer. If you are looking for a plumber, trust me, look no further. Two main reasons to use MA&: (1) He is honest (2) He is capable and experienced and (3) He will cost you less overall. For (1), I received quotes from several plumbers, and while he was not the absolute cheapest, he was close to it. That being said, he showed up, gave me the actual receipt for the goods he purchased from Home Depot that was necessary for the jobs, and kept to his quoted amount, even with a few "surprises" along the way. This is in comparison with other plumbers I have worked with who will, like cell phone companies, have hidden charges, and will charge extra for any little deviation that occurs within the job. For (2), I watched him worked throughout the project, and he paid alot of attention to detail, whether it be measuring the lengths of pipes, even with the corners to brushing out the insides of the pipes before using them. Not to mention, I have been using his work for weeks now with no problems. For (3), there were several things that he could have charged me for, but he explained, if I were willing, this is how I could do some things on my own (e.g. insulating the pipes so they do not explode during winter, etc.). Throw in this fact along with him sticking to his quoted price, and my belief is that he will cost you the least for his services overall in the long run. (not that he was super expensive to begin with) For those 3 reasons, I highly suggest you choose M&A. I will be using them for any of my future plumbing needs for sure.
