I've been out of school for a couple years and needed to prepare again to take GMAT. Couldn't be happier when I found Arbor Tutors. Superb support with excellent tutors. I can't recommend them enough!

When we started preparing for the TACHS and the high school admissions process, we really were directionless about where to apply, what to look for in a school, what the TACHS was all about, or how to even go about preparing for it. Jeremy walked us through the process, worked patiently with our son, directed us to resources to reinforce the material, and gave him the confidence and he needed to be able to walk out of the test feeling like he aced it. Furthermore, Jeremy was professional, easy to work with, and his enthusiasm for helping kids achieve their maximum potential makes the difference between a good tutor and a great tutor.

Kamil is an incredible tutor!! I could not have tackled the beast that is the LSAT without him. This was my second time taking the law school exam, and Kamil opened my eyes to creative, one-of-a-kind, and effective techniques that I had not learned previously from other tutors and prep classes. He helped me substantially improve my speed and tailored his teaching unique to my specific learning style. Kamil is extremely knowledgable and well-versed in all of the LSAT sections. He is accommodating, professional, kind, patient, trustworthy, and greatly passionte about seeing his students succeed. Kamil was an integal part of my exam preparation, and I could not have come this far without his guidance and support. Since I was taking the exam for a second time, I looked for a tutor who could help me break my old patterns and teach me new approaches. Kamil did just that! He was great at quickly recognizing the way that I learn and very effectively carried out his lessons. I would greatly recommend Kamil to students looking to see successful and quick results. Thank you, Kamil!!

I have been working with Jim on preparing for the SAT and ACT tests since August 2013. For the first couple of months, Jim and I had our sessions on the Upper West Side. As I have to take the GW Bridge to get to Manhattan, I sometimes ran into traffic related problems that prevented me from getting to the city on time to meet him. Jim was very understanding of this, and suggested that we have our lessons on Skype instead. He is very flexible as far as scheduling, which is very convenient for a Junior with a hectic schedule. After taking a practice test, Jim and I went over the questions that I missed. I read the questions out loud because he did not have a copy of the test booklet. I actually wasn't surprised that he was able to tell me all of the correct answers because he has been teaching me all kinds of fool-proof strategies to find the right answer. Jim has helped me raise my composite ACT score by 7 points. Additionally, he has been helping me tremendously throughout this college process. Overall, Jim is a pleasure to work with as he is honest, smart, and encouraging.

My son is an honor student whose sights are on college. We took an extended trip out of the country last term that was a once in a lifetime opportunity we couldn’t pass up. All grades re-bounded but the Math grade got hit hard. With VERY little time to raise his now failing grade back to his A, we found Aron. We’re so happy we did! He was EXTREMELY willing to work with my son’s busy extra curricular schedule, and made himself available for extended lessons; as there was so much to go over in a short amount of time. Thanks to Aron, my son was able to recover an A-. That’s pretty remarkable! He’s knowledgeable, flexible, professional, and the best tutor we’ve found to date! We’d highly recommend him! Couldn’t be happier.

My 4-year-old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Dillon for several months. He is devoted to making sure that my daughter is engaged in her lessons and learns both technique and theory. Even before working with us, Dillon recommended the right type of keyboard and piano workbook to purchase. He is very patient and dedicates a great amount of effort to instructing our daughter (and two of her 4-year-old friends). He is firm and keeps her focused (but not too firm that he intimidates her). Finally this week, my daughter went to her room and practiced by herself and is now able to play "Old MacDonald". Yay for Dillon!

One of the best tutors my daughter ever had. She struggled with the sat for a year until we found him. He made lessons around her needs and that helped her do well. She was able to get into the college she wanted.

I found Ms. Klein to be a pleasure to work with. She is kind and experienced person knowing how to deal with elementary level students. She provides a positive learning environment for our son while working on his writing skills. I am highly recommending Ms. Klein as a writing tutor. She has helped our son grow as a student. He built up his writing skills. Week after week his fantasy of writing is reaching higher levels. Thanks to Ms. Klein our son found a pleasure in his writing essays. He looks forward to working with her. Lenore is very experienced and excellent at discerning your child’s needs and tailoring the lessons accordingly.

Robert is enthusiastic and insightful. He is direct and uses well every minute of the lesson. He is positive and encouraging as I read out loud, answer questions and do exercises. His enthusiasm is motivating and his specific comments aid in my understanding of how the language works. His professionalism is complimented by a friendly personality. I look forward to my lessons each week and highly recommend him to other individuals who want to learn to speak and to read Italian.

I have been taking Spanish lessons from Roberto Talavera for one year. I never had much formal Spanish instruction, so was looking for classes to help me learn grammar and improve my conversational skills. It has been highly motivating to have one on one lessons with Roberto. He is professional, patient, and is able to tailor the lessons to my level of knowledge. He supplements the lessons with homework that incorporates a variety of styles, including novels, music, and video interviews. In the past year since I have been taking lessons with Roberto, my confidence in Spanish has improved and I am able to communicate more effectively with clients at work. I highly recommend Roberto Talavera.

Justin was an extremely helpful SAT tutor. He took into account the concerns I had in specific areas of the SAT and designed the lessons so I could improve not just in those sections, but also in the test as a whole. I was able to make the most of each session, and Justin answered all of my questions along the way. He made himself accessible throughout the week to answer messages and emails and I could not be more appreciative of him taking the time to do so. The tips and tricks I learned from him significantly boosted my confidence heading into the test day, and I was very pleased with my results.

My son is in 10th grade and a bright boy. However, with the ACT tests coming up we wanted him to reach his full potential. By using the Chelsea International test prep tutoring service, my son has excelled so much. He is now prepped to go to Stanford, and this is after only doing 6 short weeks of tutoring with Dr. Michelle. Her patience, understanding and encouragement, has driven my son to reach the greatest heights. He scored 35/36. I am so impressed and so thankful for the professional service of Chelsea International Schooling at Home.

This is not your regular tutoring! This is brain science wrapped in an ACT lesson! I had my younger brother work with Katya for 6 months and she helped him make a huge improvement in his ACT Score. I have never seen my brother so happy with his results.

I really like working with Bina because she customizes her approach and lesson plans based on my need and my weakness. Bina provides materials and homework prior to each class, which is great because it forces me to study more! I also have a crazy schedule, and Bina has been very kind, accommodating my ever-changing schedule.

Michael is prompt (in fact arrives early), thoughtful and prepared. My son has different learning needs as he is consider "gifted" and Michael is able to handle him with ease. He is very professional and asks ahead if there are extra topics to focus on and tries to lesson-plan for my son. I highly recommend Michael because he respects every student and their different abilities. In fact, I am thinking of hiring him over the summer for some of my son's school mates who are in General Ed to give them the same opportunity as my son.

Sandy is a great tutor. The moment I walked into her working space we felt (my family & I) welcomed by Sandy with a great warm smile. I automatically felt comfortable with her, as she seemed very caring and eager to help. I told her that my son needed a lot of help with reading and she told me not worry and that he will have a great learning experience. She has been very understanding of my son needs. She even reach out to his teacher in school to be on track with his needs. Sandy has also manage to fit his classes at convenient times and is always reachable by phone. I strongly recommend Sandy, she truly care about transforming my son into a confident and fluent reader. I am very happy and can thanks her enough.

I studied Spanish here for 2 months and I stopped cause I should move to another state. Professor Nelson always ready for the class and very energetic and talented teacher. I learned really fast here and I really liked her way to teach because you will remember most of the things even you don't study or practice a lot. I work 9-6 pm Monday to Friday so took class at 7:00 to 8:00 pm once a week and had no enough time to practice or study. But I REMEMBER most of the things I learned here. Please have trial class first and decide after. She is the most enthusiastic and wonderful teacher I ever met before. Thank you for professor Nelson again!

Mr. Connor has been working with my children the last two years. He is an amazing teacher who is very patient and kind to my children. He is teaching them Chinese, singing, drum and guitar. Unlike other teacher we had in the past, Mr. Connor incorporate games and songs into all his lessons which makes language learning much more interest. My children adores Mr. Connor and looking forward to work with him every time.
