I am a Wedding Officiant with over 25 years of experience registered with NYS to legally perform marriage ceremonies. I have the training and commitment to help you create a ceremony that includes everything that is important to you both as the foundation for a happy union. I perform Civil, Non-denominational, Religious, Spiritual, LGBT, Interfaith, Renewal of Vows, and Elopement services. I also perform Bilingual ceremonies with my husband Miguel who translates parts of the ceremony into Spanish. I have officiated at weddings all over the country and each one is a one of a kind. I believe that each couple is special and unique, so your ceremony should be too! Your wedding ceremony will express your love and happiness as you become spouses. I always make sure all the words and rituals in your ceremony are authentic for you both. I design your ceremony to include details as personal as you wish adding the elements that are important to you both and that embody your personalities and values. From my initial phone call to Laura, I knew she was the one, from her calming voice, genuinely good person at heart spirit she exuded (and this is just her voice-mail). She gave us great avenues to mentally wonder down, and allowed us whatever length of time we felt worked best for us,and needless to say the end result is PRICELESS!!!. At our first meeting (as we get to know each other) Laura's modesty upon speaking of herself, her family, etc., just really put her on a Pedestal and confirmed my heartfelt feeling I got from my first phone call to her. Her ability to comfortably mingle (because it be award for any outsider) at, during and after our ceremony with family and friends made us feel special that we were able to give her back the same feeling of Joy she brought to this Life Changing moment in our lives. Laura was informative, supportive and flexible, right from the first telephone conversation that we had with her. Wed made a relatively last minute decision to elope and we were coming up to New York on just over a weeks notice, with little to no idea what wed like to include in the ceremony. Laura was able to send us different sample ceremonies, which we were able to use to identify the components and the words that wed like to use in ours. Laura was even flexible and understanding on the day, when we adjusted the timing of the wedding several times, and picked a location in Central Park that wasnt optimal for her personally. She was able to make the wedding feel personal, even though wed not been talking for very long beforehand and she was very professional. Her joy at being a part of our joyful day was contagious and even though our wedding was very intimate, just her, us and two witnesses, we felt like wed be able to share with everyone else that smile. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices range from $250 - $500 depending on the type of Wedding and travel time. I try to take the couples budget into account, and try to match other bids.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk and then set up a phone video chat or an in person meeting. We then decide if we are a good match, we agree upon a price and then they send a deposit, and I write the ceremony. We talk and email back and forth until the ceremony is what they want. Then I go to the venue and perform the ceremony. Each wedding is different some are elopements and I use a basic wedding script.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained at The New Seminary in New York. My most important training has been the hundreds of couples I have married over my 20 years of service.
