    Dog Palace Dog Training

    (12 reviews)

I train the owners, so they can really be in control of their own dog. A lot of trainers just train the dog, and when the owner takes over the obedience is only so so. I aim to bond dog with owner to give the owner total control. When you see the light goes on in the dogs and owners eye and they work in sync.

I do not use food as positive reinforcements, doing so conditions the dog to be excited and causes behavioral problems. I use toys and praise as positive reinforcement Love dogs, even since I was a child. I begin training dogs with my father at a very young age

I have been asked what sets me apart form other Dog Trainers. I believe I get results where others fail. It is very important to my clients that they get their Dog(s) to behave well and become a balanced, loving part of their family. I show my clients how to get a balacned dog through one on one training. All behavioral problems will be addressed and corrected. So many of my clients have taken their Dog(s) to other training centers, or have hired other private trainers and were extremely frustrated because their pets still were exhibiting the behavioral problems that they wanted corrected. The Dog Tamer gets results period. I have been called "a miracle worker" by most of my clients and they are now enjoying calmer, more balanced pets through my training. No Dog is too much for me, BIG or small. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a transfomation in a dogs behavior to a balanced state. It is so enjoying to witness a dog go from a frustrated state of mind and body to a calm canine. To equally view an owners gratification to finally see their beloved pet transform into the pet that they always desired-calm and well balanced. I truly am a dog lover and am 100% devoted to a dogs well being.

I am honest, reliable and one of the few CPDT-KA trainers in NJ. I have a passion for excellence. I get to help dog owners write their own story with their dog and help it have a happy ending. Dogs are my passion. I train them, write about them and even do portraits of them. Every dog has the potential to be a great dog. Their owners just need training to bring out the best in the both of them!

I am an animal lover with free time (recent grad looking for work) and no pets (landlord is not having it!). So, until I get that house/yard in the suburbs, I'll walk your dog(s) and look after them when you're unavailable.

Dog Training is more an art than science. is about being calm, consistent, patient and always kind. Ian Phillips helps his clients understand their dog better by doing various training techniques that are fun and rewarding.

What do you love about your job?

I love helping dogs and their owners speak the same language. I love working with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I believe that every dog is an individual. No one technique of training works with every dog. I try to customize the process based on the dog's and his/her owner's personality. The best part is seeing the joy in the eyes of the dog and their owner when a concept is understood.

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

I trained dogs as a hobby since I was a teen. I decided to go pro eight years ago after I realized I was getting so many requests to help with dogs. The only regret is that I didn't do it earlier.
