Charly was great! The food was equally as great! We made a minor (more like major) mistake or requesting Charly for a dinner for 4 people, where we actually needed it for 6! When Charly came over to start preparing, we realized we needed more food! Charly was quick to figure out how to make the courses work out with the food he already brought - he says he always comes prepared with extras! He even had extra menus, so that also worked out! He was also a good sport about stepping out with us on a quick supermarket trip and buy some extra main courses :-). All-in-all, we were impressed by his patience and preparedness even before he started cooking. As for the cooking, he prepared an amazing meal and his presentation of food is incredible! Like going to a Michelin restaurant at home. Hands down the best Chocolate lava cake we've ever had!!! Thanks Charly!!
Chris catered a dinner party at my apartment and everything was top notch. He arrived promptly, had enough time to get organized before the guests arrived, and looked very professional. The presentation of the food was as delicious as it tasted. My friend helped organize the menu and every course was more delicious than the next. I look forward to having him caterer more frequently, as well as teach cooking classes. Chris' professionalism and attentiveness was incredible. Thank you again for a wonderful evening!
My husband gave to me one 3-hours-class with Erika! More than a cooking class, I had the opportunity to talk and share ideas with someone that knows a lot about healthy food! That was great and exactly what I was looking for! During the class, I was able to raise all my doubts! Of course we prepared delicious recipes, but more important than this Erika shared all her knowledge! She gave me new ideas to improve my cooking and to prepare better (and delicious) food! Thank you, Erika! It was an amazing experience!
My friend and I took cooking classes from her. I can truly say that she was amazing. She taught us to make food we wanted to learn and it turned out amazing. She is a great teacher and makes it easy to apply what you learn from her and the things you learn in class to other recipes outside of what we did in class. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn how to cook.
Chef Melissa taught a cooking class for myself and 4 friends. She was very fun and informed us on proper cutting technique. We had a lot of allergies/food restrictions and Melissa was very easy to work with regarding these. Her recipes were healthy and delicious! Our menu included Sweet Potato Fritattas, Cod w/ Mango Salsa, Baked breaded artichoke hearts and Almond Butter Cups. We had a great time and would highly recommend her!
Private Cooking class. Lauren was unbelievable re response time, energy and professionalism. We've yet to take the class but know if it's half the initial experience it will be well worth the money.
I had a wonderful cooking class with Chef Michael Molleda. We chose a menu and he sent me the recipes in advance. He taught me how to prepare a variety of dishes. He made it easy, fun and the food was delicious. We plan on hiring him again!!
Working with Chef Jackie was amazing. She was very responsive to all our requests, and came up with great menu ideas that we were excited about. At the cooking class, she was organized, clear, and friendly. She made the cooking feel very low-pressure and fun, while giving us really valuable information and cooking tips. We loved everything we made, and felt really well-prepared to recreate the recipes at home. It was a fantastic experience.
Arlene is in a class by herself with her incredible talent, her creativity teaching ability and her experience. There is a tremendous amount of clarity that I got from her lessons in the kitchen and I had many "aha's" that have stayed with me long after we worked together. For instance, I used to cut onions in a really half-hazard (and dangerous!) way until she taught me the proper cutting technique for dicing and shopping them as well as onions and other vegetables. I learned how to understand what is needed in a dish, intuitively, by having her teach me about flavor and balance. I can now make my own recipes, including soups and even some baked good from the strategies and techniques she has taught me. I highly recommend Arlene and the Cooking Workshop!

Deborah was flexible about helping me to cook better, with more variety, and to learn to cook some meals that my husband loves. At first, Deborah helped me sort out my kitchen equipment and supplies at my home. The cooking techniques she taught me are ones that you just don't get by following a recipe. I contacted Kathy through Thumbtack to provide a cooking class for Central Jersey Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter. Seven of us met Chef Kathy at Jersey Girl Cafe in Hamilton, NJ. We assisted Kathy and learned how to make: Tuscan white bean and organic spinach salad, Napoli Chicken, butternut squash rice pilaf and molten chocolate lava cakes. We spent about 2 hours cooking the meal and then enjoyed another hour eating it. Kathy gave great tips on everything from how to use a chef knife to the best way to keep chicken breasts from drying out in the cooking process. Along the way, she gave us information about healthy eating and freshness of vegetables we choose. Kathy has an easy-going personality. Our evening was fun, informative and delicious eating. I would definitely recommend Kathy and all her cooking/catering expertise. I look forward to doing this again sometime.
I dine here often as well as attend the cooking classes. The classes are amazing for people that love to cook. He focuses more on technique rather than recipes which has helped me become a better cook. Also, everything he makes is just outstanding.

We provide, along with product knowledge classes, cooking classes and team building events for 12 to 24 students in one of our five "live" demonstration kitchens.
