Doug tutored my eight year-old daughter. He covered reading, writing and math with her and made it fun and instructive at the same time. Doug inspired our daughter to have confidence in her ideas and to want to participate more in class. He has a lovely way about him that enabled him to connect with our daughter. I met with Nick over the weekend for two hours. At first I wanted to start immediately with Ch. 9 which is what I am currently learning. Nick suggested started with the basics in the beginning of the book to make sure that I had a strong grasp on the core concepts. I have to say...I am SO happy we did that. I feel more comfortable in general and understood concepts almost immediately when he explained them to me. When I asked questions and did not understand a concept from the first explanation then he went into the problem from a different point of view. It was incredibly helpful. I will now be meeting with him multiple times per week until the end of the semester. He is worth every penny and more, couldn't recommend another tutor with the same confidence I would recommend Nick

ASVAB Test Prep Dan is the man ! I came to him a week before my ASVAB test, I was having problems with the Math knowledge and arithmetic reasoning section of test. With such very little time Dan made a huge impact !! Due to his help I passed the test with flying colors ! He actually breaks problems down and goes into detail. He shows you multiple ways to work out a problem. I enjoyed working with him, he actually made math fun and easy !!!!

Ken Cyprus was my math tutor from eighth grade to senior year of high school. While all other subjects came easily to me, math was a difficult subject for me, and it was holding me back from having the high GPA I could have. With Ken's tutoring, I was always the highest performing student in my math class and never worried about my GPA being impacted by math again. Throughout the years, certain math teaching styles wouldn't work for me, and I struggled with the material, but Ken never let me give up. He worked not only on my math aptitude but also my confidence and I became a more engaged math student. Ken would give me test problems, help me study, and create material catered to my specific weaknesses so that by the time a test came, I could do it on my own. He was also able to help me score higher than I ever thought I could on the SAT. Now, as I go into my senior year of Barnard College and am getting ready to graduate with both a degree from an Ivy League institution and that of an elite liberal arts college, I look back with immense gratitude for Ken. I am a resigned elementary school teacher who has a master's degree in education from Hofstra University. I taught grades K-6 for over 10 years and recently resigned to be a stay-at-home mom. I am looking for a tutoring job on the side. I miss working with the kids!
