- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Here is usually how I work with my students:Course description *Beginning cello No music experience necessary. Introduces basic fundamentals of music and cello playing: bass clef reading, cello playing position, proper posture, first and second position, basic rhythm. References: Suzuki Cello School 1 and 2 *Intermediate cello Class for students with 2 or more years cello playing experience. Learn first to fourth position. Teaches key signature, scales, basic music theory. Introduces vibrato and techniques to play sustained, beautiful sounds. References: Suzuki Cello School 3 *Advanced cello Works on advanced technique: thumb position, musicality, emotion. Develops higher sensitivity to tone and phrasing, and maintaining focus and passion while playing. Pushes students towards their full potential. References: Bach Suites, Sonata, Concerto, other concert pieces. *Chamber Music Group. Teaches how to play as a group: breathing together, playing in tune and in time, knowing when to play loud or soft, complementing one another. Exposes musicians to more variety of sound, and other personalities.
