Introduction: From my experience with teaching cello, I find that all the kids just love me! They like my energy and style. I am strict but fun with a very open heart. I inspire them even beyond playing music to their own lives. Actually, this also applies to some adults :) Outside of work, I have many hobbies and talents. I speak Mandarin, Taiwanese and English. I am also an amateur ballroom dancer. I practice meditation for mind-body awareness. I believe that learning music reflects everything about the student: their family, personality, and even something deeper inside... I like be rewarded by my students' growth, the happiness from their face and their achievements. I especially like helping my students become more mature and confident through learning music.

Sharon is my cello teacher since 2014 and I love every lesson with her. When we started working together I had very limited experience playing the cello. I knew I loved the instrument and its voice, but I'd only taken a couple classes back in high school. During our intro lesson Sharon asked me about my goals, and explained me what we could do to reach them. I really like Sharon's teaching stile. She's nice, patient, encouraging, but above all, she's very knowledgeable. She knows the technique, (I feel like) all the songs, and she knows how important it is to love what you do. I know I'm in good hands and when something doesn't work, she explains me the technique again and again in a way that I understand it, and this helps me improve every week.

Sharon is an amazing musician and teacher. I started learning cello with her a few years ago. I had no prior experience and I wanted a teacher who is patient, helpful and funny. Sharon is all of that. When I first started, I knew almost nothing about music. Sharon taught me the basics and now I can play and even understand music. Cello is a really hard and demanding instrument. Sharon makes learning the cello fun and awesome. During our lessons, she teaches me theory, gently corrects my form and gives constructive advice for how to play better. She's very perceptive and everytime I follow her advice, I start playing better. I recommend Sharon to anyone seriously interested in learning to play the cello.

Sharon is a wonderful piano teacher. Very creative and supportive. She adjusts her teaching technique to how you are doing at that very moment in the lesson.
