We have a 1 year old Pit Bull that needed to work on some typical puppy behaviors, especially jumping. We found Jay on thumbtack. He immediately responded to our request. I loved that he responded with some information about Stella’s behavior as well as some tips before even setting up a training schedule. After talking over the phone some, and learning more about what Jay does, my husband and i decided to have our first meeting. I felt like he truly understood our concerns. WHAT A DIFFERENCE in Stella’s behavior after only one 2 hour session! I loved that Jay came to us, it helped for him to observe Stella’s behaviors in her usual environment. We learned a lot about canine behavior, why Stella was doing the things she was, and how to get her to do more of the behaviors we expect and WANT to see her doing. We moved forward with a few more sessions, and we have been incredibly successful! We have done a few sessions including some of our other family members, as well as moved to some other locations we bring Stella often. Jay has made such a difference for us! Some of our less dog experienced family members feel more comfortable around our dog now and that was the ultimate goal. Overall, Jay was on time and prepared for every session, explained everything really well, answered all of our questions and we had a good time along the way! I joke and say jay trained us, not the dog, lol but joking aside i would recommend his service to anyone! I may even call him again in the future as needed!
Great guy! Helped me install an AC unit. Very professional and did a great job. Will definitely use him again for jobs in the future. Highly recommend!
very easy to talk to. Willing to fit into your schedule if possible. Dog walkers are very friendly and seem to really enjoy their work I had a very good experience and highly recommend them to anyone.
I had the pleasure of working with Caitlin, one of the trainers at The Canine Cure. We ended up board and training one of our dogs and boarding the other one as well. Caitlin took into consideration all of our concerns and did a great job building the foundation for our pups training. She was also very good about keeping us updated about both of our dogs while we were away on vacation and both of our dogs seemed like they were well taken care of during their stay. I will continue to use her services in the future and definitely would recommend her for anyone looking for a dog trainer.
Great company, great people and my dog is very happy🐆
Ariana was great! She was very professional, and our dog responded well to her training. We learned a lot more than we expected in our first training, and received a ton of value from the session.
At the last minute I realized I didn't want Henry (my 4 year old cat) to be in a cage at a vet while I was away on a weekend). I reached out through Thumbtack, and chose Trustworthy Petter Sitterl to pet sit. Michael came over for a meet and greet and he's such a lovely person that immediately I knew Henry would be in good hands. Michael sent me texts and pictures and left a wonderful note and a bag of presents for Henry. I will absolutely call Trustworthy Pet Sitter again!
Suzanne has been great with our dog, who sometimes isn't as well-behaved as we'd like. She is communicative and professional and our dog is always happy to see her!
Sing did an amazing job grooming my dog. She is very experienced and very professional. She created very trusting rapport with my dog. My dog not only looks great, but enjoyed the experience as well. I highly recommend Sing.
Niamh is extremely talented and amazing with dogs. She is very professional but also has a terrific personality and understanding of what causes dog behavior. My dog and I learned a lot after only 1 session - highly recommended!
Jenn is incredible. She is very dependable and has a wonderful rapport with our two kitties (and us). Whenever we go out of town we know our little ones are in safe and competent hands. Jenn goes out of her way to send updates with photos each day. She is always prompt in responding and professional. Our kitties are normally very shy, but they both took to Jen immediately. She truly is a cat whisperer. We also sincerely appreciate her advice - ranging from kitty allergies to appropriate nutrition. Jenn is a wealth of knowledge. You would be lucky to have her. We cannot say enough glowing things about her. We give her 6 out of 5 stars!!
Jessica has been instrumental in helping us transition to our new life as dog owners! She is super competent/ experienced with dogs, training and dog behavior/ psychology. She is also super reliable, trustworthy and kind. I couldn’t recommend her more.
When my physician recommended I take on a new addition to my life, i.e., a puppy; I selected one small enough to handle given my multiple disabilities and one who could grow into a service dog. Although my pup arrived at only five pounds, he proved to be too much for me to take care of while living alone without assistance. So I began researching dog trainers who utilize the ‘board and train’ approach. I knew my pup (Cakebear) needed concentrated training in order to assist rather than hinder me. Of course, I also wanted the training to be compassionate as well as intensive. After interviewing twenty-four trainers, I selected the best in show and substance - Sean Ryan of City Wolves NYC. Our first communication imbued me with confidence in Sean and his abilities and he did not disappoint. Rarely today does anyone deliver the service they claim to offer but Sean is fortunately the welcome exception. During our initial meeting, Sean asked me as many questions as I did him- as we wanted to be on the same page regarding my needs and those of my dog. My puppy’s immediate response to Sean was one of attention and affection, a unique combination which makes for a happy dog and owner. After spending a significant amount of time with me and my pup, Sean evaluated our particular situation and explained fully what he determined were the most critical training points and how he would work with Cakebear. He then patiently detailed every aspect of the process. Although my pup would be away for one month, I knew he’d be in the best of care. In addition to training, a huge plus was that my dog would be socialized with Sean’s own beloved dogs. I knew Sean would be in touch with me throughout the month but I was pleasantly surprised to receive consistent contact via videos, photos and detailed updates. This constant, detailed communication throughout the training period provided me the opportunity to share in my pup’s progress as a virtual participant. In each image, with each command, my dog’s respect for Sean was evident and mirrored the high regard I have for Sean. My little one was returned to me transformed from a fluffy ruffian to a ‘by the book’ soldier, fresh from boot camp, albeit in a loving yet structured setting. I’m sure Cakebear wouldn’t mind reenlisting if given the option for Sean’s agility work with my dog resulted in blossoming confidence, something difficult for a five pound puppy to have, especially in a new environment with dogs larger than him. With Sean my pup grew into a muscular, helpful, emotionally supportive, task performing adult (in spirit and ability) far exceeding what I had expected- the usual commands of heel, come, sit, etc. As I am routinely in Manhattan, it was critical to have a trainer work with my pup in a congested, city setting and City Wolves NYC was the perfect fit. While most ‘board and trains’ are located in Jersey or Long Island, City Wolves is exactly as its name states- city-bred through and through. Cakebear is now unafraid of buses, the honking of cars, screeching sirens and the stampeding of pedestrian feet around him, sights and sounds that often frighten even larger dogs. My dog is now undaunted by noise and commotion and this enables him to keep us both safe in the city. Sean Ryan goes far beyond the celeb-trainers such as The Dog Whisperer or Victoria Stilwell. He treats dogs with a philosophy- the wolf mentality- for even though my dog is small, he is, at his core, a wolf. Sean is not just a brilliant trainer who understands the innate character of dogs, he is an intelligent, compassionate, genuine and spiritual person whose love for his work as well as canines and humans, shines through with each tail wag my dog so eagerly gives me. Not only did my dog return trained, I too was trained in the process, for the handler/owner of a dog needs to be familiar with the commands, structure and more, all of which Sean covered with me in detail. At first meeting and upon Cakebear’s graduation, Sean spent an enormous amount of time with me and my dog, demonstrating how I should work with Cakebear to maintain the structure Sean instilled in him. Then, it was my turn. Sean patiently watched as my dog and I went through the training paces. Soloing in front of Sean was without fear, as corrections for my dog and me were non-judgmental, kind and welcome. To aid in my remembering the command language, Sean prepared a custom booklet outlining the commands my dog now knew as well as detailed steps for me to keep up the training process. Graduation day was a proud moment for me and my dog. My expertly trained dog is respectful, happy and buoyant, much like Sean himself. From graduation day onward, I work with my dog to enforce the training for both of us. As questions arise, Sean promptly addresses them rapidly, no matter how many or how often they occur. Sean’s dedication to each dog he trains extends past the day a dog earns his cap and gown. It is an everlasting relationship which my dog and I evolve within with Sean as our nurturing guide. Sean Ryan possesses a unique ability to transform any canine into a loving, obedient and enjoyable companion. In my case, this is essential to my health and for those who are able-bodied; it is necessary for a successful and fun dog/owner relationship. The skill set Sean brings to the table in dealing with dogs AND humans is exceptional. Although I interviewed twenty-four trainers before choosing, my homework paid off as I made the ideal choice for Sean Ryan of City Wolves NYC is one in a million!
Mr. Stone is extremely professional and spent a lot of time with me wallking me through the process of what it would take to get my dog trained with the skills I require
The perfect help we needed to train frankie... put us on the right track...we couldn't be happier
Roxanne at My Doggie Do Right was wonderful! I sent my 4 month old puppy to her with some aggression and nipping issues as well as a handful of other concerns I had. When I took my puppy home he was so well behaved and the issues I noticed were gone. He is just a regular puppy with puppy behaviors. I was very concerned about sending him to her for 2 weeks and spoke with Roxanne about it. She was very understanding and compassionate. She would send texts, pictures and videos and I always felt comforted. Once I picked up my puppy she still made herself available for questions I had, She truly is a top notch trainer.
Gus is great! Very professional and knowledgeable and our dog adores him.
My wife and I had a great experience with Mary at Canine Love Dog Training. Mary was on time, professional and answered all of our questions in detail. She was a pleasure to work with and our Golden Retriever loved her. I would recommend Mary to friends and family so give Mary a call if you would like training or advice.
Am so pleased with your service, Rex loves his walks with you. Dawn of the Dogs provides an excellent service, I will recommend you to my friends, thank you.
Best pet sitter ever for my cat and two birds. Trustworthy, reliable and follows all instructions. However, more importantly, she treated my pets with such love. My cranky bird, who hated everyone, would fly over to her, and sit in her palm as she sang him to sleep.
I really loved the work Debbie did on my puppy. She took time to talk with me and listened to my wants and needs. It did not feel like an assembly line of dogs , it was professional and caring.
