I took the package with the ACT score guarantee for my son. Outstanding. I've recommended Arbor to several of my neighbors. They've also been helping my daughter with chemistry and math and next year will go for the ACT guaranteed package.
Jeremy is very knowledgable, professional education coach who has mastered his field of child tutoring. Aside from being a fine math tutor, he is also helping our child with organization skills. Even though he is new to us, I can say that he is dedicated and dependable. There are no screaming matches in the house regarding her math work and she has started enjoying math which is a big plus. I would highly recommend Jeremy without any reservations. Regarding his fees; you may find a range of tuition fees on thumbtack but essentially you get what you pay for. Having a professional business myself I can tell you that he is certainly worth your child's education and self esteem Dr. K
Sasha is a phenomenal math tutor. She is patient, knowledgeable and extremely gifted in simplifying complex concepts. I would go to class understanding topics that other students struggled with. To put it simply, she is professor quality at the price of an affordable tutor. No disappointments, no areas of improvement needed.
Are you looking for a math tutor who is well prepared for each lesson, who is a math genius, who is clearly passionate about teaching and who really cares whether his students are making progress? Well, you have found him in Aron G. from Spring Valley, NY! I was having difficulty with trigonometry. The support I was receiving in my private school was very limited, but I still wanted to take the Regent. I had moved several times during my elementary schooling and then skipped a grade, which didn't exactly help my math background. I had worked with several private tutors on trigonometry for months to prepare for the Regent. No improvement. In fact, I was feeling less and less confident that I would be able to master the subject. It seemed like I wasn't fitting into the cookie cutter. Then I started to work with Mr. G. At our first class, I couldn't believe how well prepared he was. He had written his own outline of the topic for our lesson. He provided a broad overview of the topic at hand, which made sense to me. He showed me some examples. Then he had me doing problems on my own--and I could! Working with Mr. G. for several weeks really made me feel like I would be able to pass the Regent. Mr. G. built on my strengths. But he also quickly identified my weaknesses. We zeroed in on gaps that I had in my mathematics background. It turns out that though I was missing some basics, I actually have somewhat of a facility for trigonometry. Once Mr. G. helped me to close the gaps and acquire the missing basics, I was able to do the trigonometry. Now I not only feel good about trigonometry, but I feel good about math in general. I am so happy and grateful to have found such a great tutor and great teacher in Aron G. from Spring Valley, NY.
Had an emergency math issue and was going to hire him for a few days to help me pass my Clep test. Doesn’t text to confirm, even though he saw my text. Doesn’t respond to phone calls or text messages, until 20 mins after he was supposed to show up to our appointment. He texts saying that he had an issue adding the appointment to the calendar. But he knew about the appointment because he saw my confirmation message earlier today. Now I’m standing in the rain scrambling to find another tutor to help with my Clep that’s coming up in a few days because i can’t trust this won’t happen again from him.
You know its a nightmare out there, looking for the right fit for your kids when you are searching for test prep tutors. I have twins going into the SATs and there are just so many bad teachers out there. I really had to ask Chelsea International a lot of questions when I came across them. I have to say, they blew me away. Not just with their professional nature, but also with their level of expertise, care, and true understanding of what it takes to bring out your childs fullest potential. I would recommend this tutoring service to anyone. The kids have been working with them now for the last few months, and the difference in their work is amazing. I am really looking forward to seeing their scores after their SAT tests.
I worked with one of the tutors for a graduate statistics course last semester. I was so pleased with the results I continue to use them for my second graduate Stats course this semester. The tutor is very knowledgeable & using this service boosts my confidence for the course.
Gail is awesome, and the tutors are excellent.
Hong is very conscientious and thoughtful when tutoring my son. He is good at being supportive while maintaining expectations. He has been very helpful in math, writing and organization.
Great math tutor, learned a lot from him. Great sense of humor to keep the learning energy high. Definitely would seek help from him again if needed.
Great company! My son needed help for his Science Regents and they found a tutor for him and really made a difference. He passed the Regents with a grade better than he thought he would. Will use them again! Great value too.
I hired Mr. Huaman to tutor me for Math and I have to say that he was an amazing teacher. He is very knowledgeable in mathematics and a great motivator. He helped me overcome many of my fears with math and feel confident about it. I will definitely have him tutor me again!
I highly recommend Jacquelyn Poarch. She has been an excellent and effective German tutor for my son and has made a real impact in his proficiency in the language. She is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and a pleasure to know and work with.
Thanks to Christine and ClubZ for a great tutoring experience. Not only did Christine identify my sons needs for SAT tutoring, her execution and follow-up went above and beyond. My son became more confident as he worked with Rich over a period of time and the results were his improved SAT scores. I would highly recommend Christine and ClubZ In-Home Tutoring.
I think any adult who pays to study a test just goes to show how important the test is to the person who may be feeling uncertain about him/herself or perhaps some aspects of the test. Hence, I believe the greatest value of a tutor is his ability to motivate his students to the next level of learning and to feel confident in tackling the test. And that is exactly what I found in Fred. I was feeling apprehensive after attempting some questions on the mock GRE test. But now, with the support of Fred, I feel very confident and that confidence motivated me to want to do my very best. So from the bottom of my heart.. Thank you Fred for sharing my journey to a self actualisation need.
Luka worked with my son throughout his freshman year at NYU. We have worked with tutors previously and Luka has by far, been the most inspiring and dependable teacher/tutor that we have had the fortune of working with. My son, who is in the Pre Med/Health undergrad program will continue to work with Luka throughout his academic career. Our son's GPA went from a GPA of 3.0 to 3.8.~ we highly recommend Luka.
I contacted Robert after being impressed by his tutoring philosophy. Having only a few months of being tutored by him, the end result was getting to the 98th percentile from the 93 percentile for me. Robert is one of the most patient tutors I have ever had (I have received tutoring since 8th grade), and he explains everything clearly. Follow his logic and do not be afraid to ask any questions about anything. He is an expert on the whole organization of test prep, and he will provide you with the most useful websites for additional test prep. In addition, he is knowledgeable about other subjects as well, which is why I continue to seek his help with my issues in college such as time management and study skills. While working with Robert on the ACT we spoke about other areas of my education as well as my college plans. I came to realize that Robert took a sincere interest in my overall well-being, and consistently made suggestions that invaluable to me on many fronts. Within a few weeks I began to call upon him to help me with my educational plan and college applications. Together, we developed strategies to strengthen my application and Robert helped me to develop my college essays. We went through the trials and tribulations of the college application process, and every step of the way Robert was there to help guide me. Even today, as a freshman at an Ivy League university Robert was there to help me with course selection in addition to many of the challenges an incoming student faces on a college campus. One thing that struck me the most is his ability to understand people, especially how one person responds to different situations. This is important because he is able to understand what is exactly preventing someone from achieving the best of their ability. For example, there was a specific component that I was struggling with my coursework, and he helped me overcome that problem after identifying a specific study limitation that I did not know I had. Over time, he has become a mentor for me. Truly you will be very lucky to have Robert as a tutor because he goes above and beyond for you, and young adults need someone to guide them through difficult times.
Very efficient..my son was happy and comfortable with him..He made him understand various concepts in algebra and he was good with dealing with questions...he made it easy for my son..we r definitely hiring him for summer tutoring..

I am currently a professor of Statistics at Ramapo College, where I enjoy working with a diverse group of students to encourage their understanding of statistics both in their studies and the world around them. I completed my PhD in Psychometrics (statistical modeling for educational and psychological assessment) in 2015 from Fordham University, where I also served as a professor for both graduate and undergraduate statistics courses. While there I was awarded the Senior Teaching Fellowship, one of only three prestigious awards given to advanced graduate students. Prior to my PhD work I served as a supervisor for Science, Social Studies, and Music in a suburban New Jersey school district. There I was able to observe and effect the teaching practices of 34 teachers under my advisement. I was also a chemistry teacher for 5 years prior to that, where I implemented innovative teaching practices, such as project-based learning and flipped classrooms. My unique combination of education and work experience makes me a great asset to any student in need of assistance with their statistics, algebra, or chemistry studies. I have the content level knowledge and teaching experience needed to help students succeed in all levels of study.
