We had a clogged drain in the kitchen. The kitchen is in the process of remodeling, so the sink was not there and no water to flush down the drain. I communicated with Jason via text messaging, sending him pictures and voicing my concerns. He answered all my questions very patiently even before arriving for the job. At the job, he was very professional and careful. He cleaned the drain, used the camera to check it, and cleaned up after he was done. He said that he warranties his work and we can call him back if anything goes wrong after the sink is installed. (The sink has not been installed yet, as of today.) We are very satisfied with his service and will be calling him again for future projects.
The Tech from Service Guys arrived at our home early on a Saturday morning, just as we had requested. He explained how he would make the repairs and got to work right away. We were disappointed with the resealing of a sink drain. The finished project looked sloppy and messy. We could have done that ourselves, but we hired a professional thinking he would do a better job than us. The other projects (fixing a broken kitchen drawer, installing a drawer pull, and hanging two kitchen shelves) were done quickly and to our satisfaction. We only wish the resealed drain was cleaner, but otherwise we are glad we hired the Service Guys.
Sam showed up on time and spent two hours trying to fix the clogged drain in laundry room. He told me the problem is not fully fixed because the main pipe outside is blocked and he didn't bring long enough snake to reach the main pipe. He told me to call him if the problem come back and he will redo the job. I was quoted for $125. At the beginning, Sam refused the payment because he thought the problem is not fully fixed. I ended up pay him $70 for his work. Sam is excellent.
Ackthba did a great job, taking care of a number of jobs in my house - recaulking our bathtub, repairing and varnishing a part of the floor, installing a bathroom light fixture and air conditioners, and a few other small miscellaneous things. He and his team are very detail oriented and did a great job, highly recommended!
Hired Walter to check out a clogged toilet drain. Turned out it was a broken main sewer line which he was also able to repair. I liked how he is very systematic in his approach to identify the problem and his philosophy to only fix what is broken. Also explains and communicates well and works with you. Since he can do a lot of very different tasks, I am sure I will hire him in the future and can also recommend him to everybody.
My toilet was backed up and overflowed. Plumber Rob was great. He was neat, professional and courteous. I checked with 3 or 4 other company's before contacting BlueKrait drain cleaning and they had the best prices. As a woman I felt safe to have Rob in my home doing the work. He was neat and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely recommend BlueKrait service.
Robbert fixed all three problems: dryer taking long time to dry, leaking toilet and dishwasher not draining well. Tennants were happy with service provided.
Nick arrived on time, was pleasant to work with and did a great job on my kitchen sink drain and bathroom toilet fill valves
Jorge was awesome. He was on time, was able to improvise on the spot and even had time to help tackle another need that I had just learned about. He’s a very nice guy as well. Highly recommend for plumbing and other handyman work.
Marvin was prompt and very professional in his communication with me from beginning to the end of the project. His fee was very realistic and fair. After the plumber repaired the shower line behind the wall, Marvin installed a proper board and retiled to close the hole. He also re-caulked around the tub. The job was well done. I will rehire Marvin for future projects.
Eddie is a pro! He came on time and told me the cost up front, which included pick up of our new toilet (for a small charge, less than delivery). When he arrived with the new unit he spotted a problem right away, (we purchase the wrong size). We discussed our options and he agreed to go back exchange the wrong one and get the proper size. The job was done efficiently and Eddie cleaned up thoroughly, taking away the old toilet. As a member of the plumbers union he has insurance. I would highly recommend Eddie, and plan to use him for future plumbing jobs. Feel free to contact me if you like a referral. Ben
William has been a pleasure to work with, he solved the heating and plumbing issues we had. He is very knowledgeable and makes sure the project was completed and done correctly. We would definitely use William again for any future heating or plumbing work.
My partner and I just moved to NJ from NC and had quite a bit of repairs and upgrades we needed to complete on the new home we purchased. One such upgrade was venting the dryer. This home was built in 1892 so needless to say, the original architectural plan did not include a dryer. The previous owners installed a gas line - but where the gas line had to run to attach to the kitchen stove, made for a really poor location in the basement in regards to venting the dryer. Before Nick came, he let me know a price for a best case scenario, which I appreciated because had he named a price over my budget, it would have given us both the opportunity to cancel the estimate so as not to waste time. Nick arrived on-time for the estimate and at first it was pretty tricky to find a solution for venting the dryer without completely tearing up the ceiling and walls. Nick was persistent in finding though and was able to devise a plan of going through an old nonfunctional window that was hidden and covered. I hired him to complete the dryer venting and also uncap the gas line and install a hose in preparation for the dryer installation. On the day of the project, Nick arrived on time (7:30am on a Saturday) It took him about 2.5 hours to complete everything. He did a fantastic job. One strength I want to highlight is that Nick not only gets the job done, and does it well, but also takes pride in the aesthetics of his work. He could have easily vented the dryer in a way that exposed the pipe all the way along the ceiling and through the window, but instead he figured out a way to fish it under the sheet rock for a cleaner look. He also cleaned his work space completely - which I have found to be rare for contractors in this area. I have had many contractors who were ready to walk out the door without cleaning up their mess and would have done so had I not asked them to clean up before they go. I also want to highlight that I had a sewage pipe issue in the basement prior to his dryer venting project. Nick also does plumbing so I called him at 4pm and he was at my house by 8pm. People who who have hired folks for sewage pipe leaks know that cleaning up the sewage is not part of the job. Nick was willing to clean and sanitize on top of snaking the pipes and clearing them of clogs for a reasonable price. Nick has been great to work with and does great work. I have already hired him to take care of some other projects around the house (installing a shower door, clearing debris in the backyard). Glad we found a go-to handyman for our new home!
Mike was terrific. He repaired a leaking kitchen sink drain and installed a full length mirror and a new toilet seat. He's an excellent worker and a problem solver. I recommend Mike and will definitely work with him again.
It was past 5pm on a Friday and I was in a bit of a bind. I had shut off the water supply to the house in order to change a leaky valve with a broken packing nut. Unfortunately, I had a very old valve and you can't remove the handle from the stem to get at the packing nut. I would have to replace the entire valve and I knew that was beyond my scope and I had to call a plumber. Most plumbers would take advantage of the situation and charge very high prices for the job which is exactly what happened. Herbert is the exception. The earliest I could get Roto-Rooter or anybody else to come by was either morning or noon the next day. I'd be without water the entire time too. Herbert was a God-send because he reached me in less than an hour from the time I placed the project on thumbtack! Instead of taking advantage of the situation he HELPED me with the price! He definitely deserves all the stellar reviews that he's got on this site. If you have plumbing issues, save yourself time and trouble and call Herbert. He knows exactly what he is doing and was done with the job in less than 30 minutes. He also answered some questions that I had related to the issue at hand.
I couldn't figure out why I could get the lever to flush the toilet. Jason came and figured it out immediately and volunteered to walk to Home Depot to get the parts that were needed. A part in the level had broken. So he walked the 20 blocks to get the part and fixed it. I am very grateful to him. He literally went the extra mile for the job. He was very nice as a person and had made a career out of toilet and faucet repair, so he is very knowledgeable. I would hire him again and I would immediately recommend him to a friend.
Laszlo isolated the problem with my washer drain system and proceeded to replace the pipes. He is energetic and very competent. I would recommend him highly.
T-Jai was great. They showed up early. They were courteous and persistent. We had a clogged drain that turned out to be a lot bigger than we earlier thought. T-Jai stuck with until he found the problem and stuck with his original quote in spite of the job going over what he originally anticipated. I highly recommend him for a quality job, great satisfaction and great price
I hired Miguel of Golden Touch Mechanical to do several plumbing repair projects in my home. He has completed several and is due to return for another larger job . In the middle of this I had a plumbing emergency that was not a part of the original list of repair projects that Miguel responded to. As a home owner I have had a lot of experience with plumbers and other service people. I must say that if I had to give Miguel's service a rating I would give it a 10 plus. He has given me such wonderful service that it's almost too much to list. He started off with excellent communication. It was clear and concise. He was prompt, and he was fair in in his pricing. It didn't start out as one thing and then change to another as the job went on. If you have dealt with contractors then you know exactly what I mean. His work was also neat and clean. I told you it was almost too much to list. I'm probably leaving something out. If you want to hire someone who values your time, respects your home and will do the job at a fair price , then I would recommend Golden Touch Mechanical.
I would like to express my high satisfaction with the work that G & B plumbing did. My job, water supply valve & all internal tank parts replaced, was on the simply side, but upon deciding to hire them for this project, they arrived on schedule and completed it in a prompt & professional manner. I have been through 3 plumbers in the past 3 years, but I would definitely recommend Gio highly as well as use them in the future.
I had some extensive work done in my basement, stairs replaced, plumbing done for the washer with backsplash design and overhead lighting. Very professional and I was pleased with the work.
