Mary Ng-Tedjasukmana is a wonderful psychotherapist. She made me feel like I was talking to a friend rather than a clinician -patient interaction. I highly recommend Mary Ng-Tedjasukmana.
"Judith Hancox, one of the most gifted therapist I have been to. She has helped me win a major Breakthrough in my recovery with Shiome Therapy. She is scientifically grounded, has a balanced holistic approach to PTSD, zeroing in on the damaging effects of trauma to the brain psyche, and spirit." I trust her with my life.
I often chose professionals on instinct, and in the case of choosing Sheila my instinct was correct. Her style is soft, while still tackling the tough issues. But what's most important is the fact that she really cares about her clients, and posesses a genuine sense of empathy. I'm very happy to have her as my therapist. Meet with her and see what your instinct tells you.
Sheri is a profound therapist. She has the ability to connect with clients on a deep level, validating their experience with empathy and strength. Sheri is extremely intuitive, intelligent, and compassionate. Her knowledge of psychology and her ability to apply her knowledge to specific situations in your life, leave you feeling met, heard, and hopeful. Sheri is comforting and warm and at the same time she is direct and truthful. Sheri's honesty creates an environment where healing can take place and be nurtured. She helps you to unravel and reveal truths that can break old patterns and allow you to differentiate at your own pace. I will forever treasure the work that I did with Sheri when she was my therapist. My life has changed leaps and bounds since, and I attribute a great deal of my growth to the journey that we shared together. I highly recommend Sheri.
I highly recommend working with Stefan Deutsch. Fortunately for me, I met him at a most critical time of my life. I was full of stress, anxiety, and had depressive episodes. I tried other therapies, but they only helped a little. The essence of his work is understanding the science behind loving behaviors and how to give it and get it unconditionally - as it is as vital to life as are air, food and water. I knew that, however, no one explained how to use this idea before. I have worked with Stefan on and off for about 4 years. During that time, I learned to love myself and communicate better with others. I also learned what is loving and unloving behavior and to recognize them in unhealthy relationships in order to take care of myself. His tools for coping with pain have helped me "tame the hurtful dragon" within me. I had many blind spots in my private and professional life as a successful entrepreneur, and never realized them. However, the hours I spent with Stefan helped transform me into a person capable of loving myself and attracting more positive people into my life. It was breaking my old negative patterns both with my company and my relationships by staying out of the past. Now I understand how to make myself happier and be more involved in a positive, enriching life. I found Stefan's work is more productive and transformational because it is more about feelings and less about thinking and being in my head. I highly recommend anyone to work with Stefan if you want to gain awareness of oneself and attain and maintain a happy, balanced life. Nancy Entrepreneur, Long Island

I am writing as a colleague of Dr. Eileen Wachter. I am a seasoned psychotherapist and have shared a number of cases with Dr. Wachter where she provided psychopharmacological and medical management. Dr. Wachter, is exceptionally well trained and keenly knowledgeable and current about psychotropic medications, and very dependable about medication choices and potential contraindications. She performs a very thorough evaluation of each patient she sees and is thoughtful, careful and cautious about administrating appropriate medications. When in doubt, she seeks consultation with colleagues she most respects. If the medication is not providing adequate relief to her patient, she is persistent and unrelenting in finding a regime that will work better. She is an outstanding diagnostician and clinician who is dutiful and professional in all she does, and a wonderful collaborator who is interested and involved in all aspects of patient care. Dr. Wachter is a highly skilled and effective psychotherapist, as well. Again she has been trained by many of the best experts in the field. Together with her solid training and knowledge, Dr Wachter brings her innate talents of insightfulness, perceptiveness, empathy and caring into her psychotherapeudic work with patients. Those who seek treatment with her, find her to be very trustworthy, wise, compassionate, dependable and very helpful. Most importantly, you will not find a Psychiatrist who is more dedicated and generous with her time and knowledge, than Dr. Wachter. She is open to, and sometimes insistent upon her patients remaining in contact with her between sessions, if necessary, so that she can monitor progress and distress most closely. I have been a psychotherapist for 30+ years and worked with numerous Psychiatrists, but NONE have shown the level of involvement, commitment and caring that Dr. Wachter displays with her patients. She is not only generous with her time regarding her patients, but also with the professionals she works with. In summary, with Dr. Wachter you get an enormously well trained, smart, knowledgeable, insightful, empathic, non-judgemental, flexible, highly competent, but above all else, exceptionally caring professional. I have studied both eastern and western philosophies and techniques that can help people improve their lives. I have traveled across the globe to meet with many of the world's most renowned teachers, swamis, avatars and healers and have integrated their varied processes and techniques into my own system. My services teach you easy-to-apply methods of letting go of unwanted fears, worries, negative habits and self-defeating behaviors that we get caught up in. I help clients free themselves from habitual thoughts, emotions and actions that bring them suffering and disappointment. When we eliminate feelings, thoughts, beliefs and core conditioning of lack and limitation, what remains is our unlimited selves. My clients began to identify their values and life goals and focus their energy and mind toward having what they desire instead of living in the state of want, lack and limitation. My methods teach the "how to" direct the mind in positive directions to begin and live the life you truly desire.

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Couple's Counseling (with a focus on conflict resolution and rediscovering intimacy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The College of New Rochelle (2001) and a master's degree in social work from Fordham University (2005). My experience in the mental health field includes hospital-based inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, community-based case management, forensic psychotherapy, residential treatment and various supervisory roles. As a practicing psychotherapist for many years, I help empower my clients to identify and correct aspects of their lives which are maladaptive, thereby helping them to live more satisfying, effective lives. Through the therapeutic alliance, I tailor my theoretical approach to fit each client's individual needs and goals. I admire those who have the courage to dive headfirst into the therapeutic process because it can be a scary one. Exploring the many facets of one's personality is challenging, albeit a necessary process in order to live a meaningful life. We all have the ability to change problematic behaviors, self-defeating thoughts, and unhealthy patterns of functioning. I, too, continue working on my personal growth and development, and can identify with the challenges that may ensue. I congratulate you for embarking on this journey of self-exploration, and am privileged to join you on your quest for peace, happiness and serenity.

Far too many coaches have little or no psychological/spiritual insight or experience. At the same time, far too few therapists know how to really help folks effect REAL CHANGE in their lives. Honestly, most schools that claim to teach "psychotherapy" are still largely based on the psychodynamic model which stems from Freud's paradigm that insight = change. Usually this is WRONG. And it's so so sad that so many people are literally stuck in so-called therapeutic relationships that are primarily therapeutic for the provider's cash flow and little else. Why? Because they don't know what's out there and the mental health profession generally will, unwittingly, lead them astray. Change involves far less to do with "why" questions (or focus on the past) and far more to do with "what" is happening NOW and HOW can we make that different, better... That's why finding a life coach who is also a licensed psychotherapist and can guide and direct as well as help you to "process" is so important. I'm far from the only one doing this, so choose carefully but be courageous: change is possible. If you're willing to do the work. With love, David
