Ava is a trained singer who is knowledgeable in the "nuts and bolts" of singing technique that can be applied to any singing style. She explains to and shows the student by demonstrating. The lessons are also recorded for practicing at home. Also a very nice person!
Janessa was my vocal coach in high school and helped me get prepared for my college auditions in my senior year as well as help me land the lead in my high school musical! I learned great strategies to help my voice mature and a lot of foundational skills that I missed out on not having played an instrument. Janessa was able to help me overcome a lot of the bad habits that I had as well as push me to expand my vocal skills. She was a great Christian role model and I appreciated her approach. I would recommend Janessa to any young singer looking for direction and focus in their singing career.
I am an award-winning teacher who provides private music lessons in the comfort of your own home or on Skype. DNJ Music Studio is like a family. I hope that my love and passion for the musical arts will inspire my students to reach their goals and follow their dreams. I offer affordable private voice, piano, and acting lessons. Lessons are tailor-made for all needs. Voice lessons are offered to all ages for all levels. I focus on these elements in my studio: - Anatomy, vocal mechanism and vocal health - Posture: finding the free, balanced posture of the whole body and of the vocal apparatus - Breath: building awareness of the breath, learning to use it properly and enhancing its capabilities - Resonance: defining clear vowels that allow a free flowing sound using facts about the vocal tract, imagination and natural sensations - Exercises: using well known, fun, energizing vocalizations - Diction: vowel modification, producing crisp consonants, diction of foreign languages, IPA - Repertoire: choosing the right style to suit the singer's taste, personality, range, etc. - Artistry: pointing out different ideas to make the piece interesting and original and encouraging the students to find their own - Performance: how to present a piece, manage stage fright and more Piano lessons are offered to all ages for beginner to intermediate levels. Piano lessons are very beneficial for both children and adults. For children, it benefits education skills used in reading, science, and math. It helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, as well as brain and memory development. Adults who study music enjoy better emotional and physical health. They also have the benefits of personal satisfaction, increased confidence, coordination, enhanced memory and concentration. Singers, if they take their singing seriously, should be able to learn a song from a piano score. It is true that many singers can learn by ear, but what happens if you are given an original piece or if you cannot find a recording? Without basic piano skills, one may suddenly feel very limited. Acting lessons are offered to all ages for all levels. Whether you sing, play an instrument, or are preparing for a report for school, we all get stage fright. The best way to get rid of it is to practice performing/speaking in front of people as much as possible. Acting Lessons will be dependent on what you want to work on. I am a versatile person and if you just want someone to listen to your slide show presentation, I can help you get the confidence you need to get that A. In my undergrad at Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music, I coached freshmen voice performance majors on songs and monologues they were practicing for their lessons or auditions. I also co-directed a summer musical theater camp for 3 years with Cassidy Theater. My clients include Grammy nominated producers, lead band vocalists, as well as middle/high school and college students.
No one can't sing! Everyone can sing. It just takes a little time and shaping and molding until you as the singer are happy with your voice. I can guarantee that after students have worked with me; they will not only be more confidence with their singing, but they will also be more in tune with how the body connects with the sounds our voice makes. I am a music education/vocal major at Malone University. I've held many leads in our newly formed opera theatre program. Although I am still coming up in the world, I have helped many young singers become comfortable with their voices and vocal abilities. My approach to voice lessons begin with space and opportunity for the students to get to know their voice a little more than they may think they know it. I never intend on changing the style/genre of the singer; I focus on a different approach to singing a particular style.
I have been teaching private voice lessons for 20 years! I love teaching anyone more about singing. I have been a performer with opera companies, acapella jazz groups, and many chorus/ soloist positions. Just call to set up an appointment today and experience the joy of growing your musical abilities to becoming a better performer!

I am a music student at Kent State Stark. I teach guitar, bass, piano, drums, and voice. I grew up in Berea, OH but I am now based in Canton. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I was a member of the church choir and The Ohio Boys Choir for years. I spent a year at the University of Mount Union singing in the choir. At Kent State Stark, I have sung in the Choral for 5 semesters now. I have taken 12 credits of applied voice, and I have passed both of my vocal thresholds. I am currently taking extra (non-major required) piano lessons from Dr. Sebastian Birch to further my knowledge in music.

I provide private instruction in the art of singing and basic vocal music techniques. I start with simple, known songs and progress as far-reaching as mutually satisfactory. The students will build confidence not only in singing but also in appearing in front of people and even subjecting oneself to evaluation by adjudicators (vocal professionals). I also give lessons in keyboard: notes, chords, etc.
I help students explore more efficient and effective ways to use their voice, and I equip them with the knowledge necessary to discover their full vocal range and true musical potential. I work with all styles of music, and I give students an opportunity to choose the direction that they would like to take their training.
