The absolute worst contractor I've ever dealt with. His original estimate was very low. I told him to come out and look and talk about what the project included. I went through the whole description with him but he didn't write down a single thing. I asked him if he had the employees and equipment to handle the job and he swore he did. He then gave me another bid that was 75% higher than the first. That seemed a lot more reasonable so we agreed. He asked for full payment before even starting the job. Ultimately we agreed to a half now - half later arrangement. From that point on it turned into a nightmare. The were several good weather days where he didn't show up so it ended up taking 3 weeks to get close to being done. During the three weeks he wrote out 5 more invoices he needed paid before he could do any more work. He had zero money to buy anything so I had to keep giving him more and more money - Over $900 more for things that were all part of my description of the project. There were other issues like that, but he saved the best for last. Despite not completing the job he contacted me and said he wasn't going to do any more and he wanted the second half of this original bid. He offered to deduct some money since not everything was done. He and I agreed that if he would take the old and leftover paving bricks away I'd pay what he was asking. He knocked on my door asking for his money. When I looked out my window the bricks were gone so I paid him. Then today I open my garage door and there are all the bricks just tossed around near my mailbox and the end of the driveway. Needless to say his blatant lie really ticked me off. I strongly suggest you avoid the "pro" for anything you might want done.

Details: Larger projects in current landscape (e.g. plant trees, install sprinkler) • Plant trees or shrubs • Trim trees or shrubs • Remove trees or shrubs • Plant flower beds • Apply mulch • Front yard • Back yard • Side yard • Yes, maintenance needed • Home

Sorry you had such a bad experience with my company. We just haven't dealt with a customer like yourself yet so a lesson learned. If you do decide to write a review about me please be honest is all I ask.I actually got advice from someone to get half up front and half later on any job and before I could talk to you about it you had already said you would pay half so I never asked for full payment upfront. Another thing, companies don't pay for your supplies, the customer does. I gave you an estimate of my idea and you said it was "cheap" so then more money was needed. That's why the estimate changed so much. I am new to business but I know when my employees feel uncomfortable it's time to wrap up the job. I'm sorry about everything you went through and hope you find someone better. I hope you at least like that we did everything that's presentable from any view from the street. Have a good day sir.
