FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do 1 hour lessons for $35-45 at my home. I will travel up to 20 miles for an additional fee of $15. If I travel, student must have a drum set available. I discourage 30 minute lessons, it's just not enough time to really review what's been practiced previously and dive into new lessons. More information will be provided in a quote if services are requested.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I assess their skill level and then create a lesson plan tailored to their strengths, weaknesses, learning style, wants and needs. My lessons are completely individualized, there is no one size fits all approach to teaching. I'm extremely patient and take pride in watching my students improve their skills as a result of my lessons and their personal motivations and goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I minored in music at Ohio University and have performed with professional groups such as Azaguno (African Drum and Dance) and its Steel Drum Ensemble. I also played in various bands throughout highschool and college and have about 14 years of experience playing drum kit and 9 years experience playing other types of percussion instruments.
