I've been training at StrongFit for a little over 6 months and have been pleased with their services. A few months in I lost 4% body fat to get in the optimal range and significantly improved my lower body strength & endurance, an area I wanted to improve in my initial goal setting. Their flexibility in scheduling is another plus for these guys. Definitely would recommend StrongFit for your needs!!
I started working with Kyle in August of 2015. I was 5 months out from having undergone the gastric sleeve to help better control an endocrine disease that I have. I was 325 pounds before surgery and am now 230lbs. By the time I began working with Kyle, I had already lost 40 pounds. The trainer that I was with had to leave which is how I met Kyle. He was new to the gym so I was one of his first clients. Little did we both realize what kind of journey we were beginning. I trained with him 2 days a week for the next 11 months. Each week he would increase the amount of work I would do. One thing I love about working with Kyle is how he would take my personal situation into account and never treat me as just another client. He knew how far to push me and when it was time to step back and reorganize our workouts. He has a way of holding you accountable but not make you feel like a horrible person if you slip up or don't follow through. Having broken my back in 2009, we would run into injuries at times, and he would just revamp the workouts and help me get past the injury. He also helped to show me the proper way to do different exercises to avoid those injuries! I can now Deadlift 245lbs, Squat 155lbs, and Bench 100lbs! I have lost 100lbs since I began my journey in 2015 and just had skin removal surgery from that weight loss. I have gone from lowering my weight to watching weight gain from muscle growth! After I quit training one on one with Kyle he still stayed in contact with me. At anytime I can call or text him to ask about nutrition or making a new move with training. This man has shown me the world of exercise and now I’m addicted! I crave the gym and my next work out. When it comes to learning, he is your man! He will teach you anything you ask.

I'm doing the one-on-one personal training. Virgil is very motivated and knowledgeable. The exercises are fun and challenging. He understands what my goals are and the exercises are targeting those areas. Nice and clean facility. I would recommend Virgil to anyone who wants to get in shape and get toned up.

Joe is friendly and competent- which you can tell from your first workout. More impressive is that Joe learns about his clients’ individualized needs and tailors parts of training sessions to meet them. The workouts are challenging without being discouraging.
She is very knowledgeable on what training works for your body. She offers assistance with nutrition questions as well. Would recommend Heather as a trainer. Very personable.

Jessica is so great at what she does! I was very hesitant to start working with a personal trainer being that I never have before and really have never lifted weights other than machines at large gyms like Planet fitness sometimes. I’ve progressed more with her in the last couple months than I ever have. I feel great and look forward to my sessions with her each week. She offers so much more than just an hour session. She’s helped with my diet and my work outs outside of the personal training sessions as well. She will adapt to your needs and comfort level but still push and encourage you when you need it. So glad I decided to give her a shot!
The most important difference I really appreciated about Kimberly's approach to personal training was the extensive initial personal assessment. I never experienced this important step with previous trainers over the years. She also took note of my strong interest in diet and nutrition and offered a number of valuable suggestions not the least of which was the "Forks Over Knives Plan". As a senior with certain "wear and tear" issues, I anticipated limited progress. I have been pleasantly surprised at the improvement in muscle tone, strength gains and conversion from fat to muscle resulting from Kimberly's customized regimen. The fact that I find Kimberly to be a beautiful person, both inside and out, is the icing on the cake. I have personally recommended Kimberly to many of my friends and associates who would benefit from her special approach to overall fitness and the resulting longevity potential.
Mike is the best trainer in the Dayton and surrounding area. He has helped me and continues to help me reach all of my fitness goals. He has perfected my form in all of my lifts, pushed me when I needed it and helped me to get great conditioning. In the past I had struggled to find a coach that would actually care what I wanted and would go through my sessions so that I would pay them. With Mike, he is fully attentive and motivational. There are not enough positive things I can say about him, and if you have the opportunity to have him train you do not miss out.. he is the best!
I have been working with Alexa 1on1 for about six months now and she is absolutely amazing! Through a combo of in person sessions and her monthly programming, I have made more progress in this short time than in years of doing it on my own. By making a few simple changes, I have lost 14lbs and 11% body fat. Whether it's training in the gym or meeting for nutrition, Alexa consistently pushes me far enough to get results each week, and most importantly has never let me give up on myself!

My experience working w/Mark as my personal trainer has been in a word EXCELLENT! I’m nearing 3 years training w/Mark. I’m down 30 pounds, have increased strength and stamina to higher levels than when I was in my 30s! As evidence, I recently completed a local triathlon, finishing ahead of many athletes +20 years younger than me! Mark takes a holistic approach to tailor a customized training program to meet/exceed his clients unique needs and personal health goals. Using Thumbtack, I interviewed several trainers and all were positive interviews, however Wendy stood out. She approached training from a holistic perspective and had a great personality. Being over 50, she tailored exercises specifically for me that I could practice on my own as well as always changing the exercise program up by introducing new concepts and regimens. She integrates changing diet and lifestyle during the sessions to promote the total concept. She actually brought me samples of how she manages her food to eat right " on the go". She is always positive and realizes that training is a journey for most of us that are not body builders, etc. She is always on time and communicates well for any changes. She is awesome!
