Hey, I’m Chef Sierra Symone. After attending Bradford Culinary School in 2013 and Owens Culinary School in 2015, SiSi’s Pop Up Catering was established. I am also the owner of Rare Savory Taste Kitchen, established in 2024 in Toledo, Ohio. I have revamped restaurants, elevating their menu with new recipes and perfect pairing cocktails. My passion has always been in the kitchen and creating memorable times with those I love while enjoying amazing food. My mission is to provide exquisite personal chef and event catering experiences. I am equipped to service all your catering and personal chef desires! SiSi’s The Food Truck was established in 2021. Serving statewide in Ohio from 2021-2023.
Apart from my life as the Chef, I love to travel and explore new places and food culture. The best times are spent with those I love and creating experiences.

Chef Sierra is incredible! From our first contact on Thumbtack she was responsive, professional, helpful and is an expert! She cooked and gave a wonderful experience for my wife’s 40th birthday party for 12 women. It’s not just amazing food, it really was the whole experience that all the women raved about! Sierra was amazing! She worked with me to figure out meals that would feed a large group with different tastes (and allergies!) and knew exactly how much food to provide! She also went out of her way to deliver to us which was highly appreciated. And the food itself was EXCELLENT! Fresh, flavorful, delicious. Absolutely recommend.

Chef Si provided my sister’s bachelorette party of 11 women an experience we’ll never forget. She came to our Airbnb and prepared an amazingly delicious and beautiful spread of various dishes, all of which were high quality AND so so so good. She was stealthy in her prep, presentation, and cleanup. There were PLENTY of leftovers (all of which were eaten later in the day, and the next morning 😍). Thank you so much for your time and effort, we loved it so much and appreciated your whole business model and operation!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Quote depends on head count, menu, in-home service or delivery. I also charge $75 per hour of travel.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with Thumbtack, I always get the basics of what the client would like. (How many guests, location, type of menu, type of event) I will give a quote based off those suggestions. If the quote is okay with the client, we will proceed on the final menu. I will send an invoice for a deposit of half the quote to secure your date and you will be booked. Final payment is always due 48 hours before service. I’m always reachable by thumbtack, phone, or email.
