Bethany is helping me learn to meditate and relax through yoga in a way that is safe based on some recent medical issues I have had. She is very knowledgeable and responsive.
Daniel has been my Reiki Master for only a short period of time, but in my few sessions I’ve reached an element of calm and self care that I hadn’t had before. A feeling of being centered and balanced are my take aways, and I’m looking forward to exploring reflexology and yoga in the near future. Daniel’s love for his craft really shines through and I think he’s a wonderful addition to anyone seeking self care and improvement.
Dodi is the most intuitive and creative yoga teacher I have ever experienced. She has the ability to read each of her individual students and give them their own unique yoga experience that corresponds with what feels good to them, which is what yoga is all about to me. I am looking forward to continuing my yoga journey with Dodi. She is a gift
Abby Miller is an outstanding, incredibly knowledgeable Yogi with a remarkably calming, encouraging, and patient, yet attentive presence that makes each Yoga Lesson not only a joyful and meditative experience, but also a substantial work out stretching and holding in order to balance not only your body, but your chakras and mind as well. Abby's joyful and relaxing aura is matched by immense knowledge of several schools and styles of both yoga and guided meditation. Her love and commitment of Yoga and helping people live healthier, happier, and more balanced existences lead her to receive her Yogi certification as a licensed instructor comfortable and capable of providing the perfect level of private, intimate and personalized instruction to each individual student regardless of their skill level with Yoga. Her kind demeanor and comforting teaching style lends itself perfectly to create a fulfilling, challenging, and highly beneficial session for both beginners who may be new to the art, and skill of Yoga, as well as providing a satisfying and intense session for more advanced and learned Yoga students. The benefits of Abby's private lessons are great to say the least. The personal one on one sessions ensure that The lesson is designed and focused specifically on the student allowing Abby's undivided attention and vigilance evaluating and adjusting the student's strengths, weaknesses, and the goals they hope to achieve through expert one on one Private Yoga Training. Each lesson is personalized for the individual student allowing the most effective results to be achieved. Abby Miller was regarded by her Yogis, Mentors, and fellow instructors as one of the finest, most capable, versatile, and dedicated teachers, guides, and Instructors among her peers. I have taken Yoga classes in several states over several years and I completely and honestly consider Abby Miller to be the greatest Yogi I have had the honor of studying under. Either in person or even via Skype each session has been more than worth the incredibly reasonable fee for such an in depth and private session. Each lesson I've taken from Yogi Abby has left me in a state of physical, mental, emotional, and mindful balance comfort and joy. I cannot recommend participating in these amazing private sessions from a true Yoga Master and utterly kind, and positive human being enough. You will always feel like a new person after participating in Abby Miller's Private and Personalized Yoga Sessions. Abby truly has a way to balance a student out as well as supply th with knowledge, breathing techniques, and several other invaluable resources the student may use outside of the private session, to increase their peace of mind, general mindfulness, va, and balance. Abby's rates are so very affordable, and I would more than gladly pay double or three times the rate for the sheer quality and quantity of these expertly instructed Private Yoga Sessions. Simply put, Abby Miller is by far the greatest Yogi I've ever learned from and I would rather have a session with her over Skype than a less qualified, talented, knowledgeable, in tune instructor in person. After you experience a private session with Abby, you will never also consider a group lesson or even a private lesson from a less qualified and talented Yogi. Abby Miller is the best Yogi I've ever worked with, and I cannot recommend her private Yoga Sessions strongly enough. Your life will change drastically for the better.
Emily is such a caring and professional yoga instructor. I'm in her Saturday morning class, and one thing that I love is that she always asks the class if there's anything in particular that they want to work on. She is really good about monitoring body positioning, and making suggestions for more effective poses. She's also really good at reading the students and suggesting appropriate modifications for a more meaningful practice. The classes are well thought out, and they flow really well. Above all else, Emily is exceptional at fostering a safe space to practice yoga the way that your body will let you.
Sherry is a very positive young women with amazing energy! I enjoy her yoga classes and am always very pleased with my results. :) I definitely look forward to seeing her again!
Lauren is warm, engaging, and an accomplished professional able to work with all levels of ability. As an instructor she is easy to follow and always offers a satisfying combination of poses. Her voice envelops the room, creating calm energy; her out breath always makes me relax and become more present. Of the 8-10 yoga teachers I have had, Lauren is definitely my favorite.

Trisha is amazing! She is extremely passionate about what she does and puts you in a moment of zen that you'll think about all day! She is supportive, knowledgable, helpful and makes you feel so comfortable! I'm certainly a beginner when it comes to Yoga and there are certain parts that are very difficult for me but Trisha walks me through them personally. I came to yoga in 2014 as a true “yoga skeptic” when my mounting collection of running injuries finally forced me to put away the tennis shoes for awhile and find a more balanced physical workout. I quickly fell in love with the connection of movement to breath and the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of the practice. I am registered with Yoga Alliance and completed her 200 Hour training program with GoYoga in Columbus, Ohio. I teaches power vinyasa and yin/deep stretch classes/private lessons. My power classes tend to be challenging, energetic, and fun, while my yin classes focus on the function of each pose and the sensations created in the body. Both classes have an equal amount of laughter and good vibes. Both styles of yoga offer different healing benefits for the body, mind, and spirit.
I am approachable, light hearted & dependable. You can count on me to be fully present, on time & excited to share a dynamic yoga practice with you! I offer a yoga practice with 0 intimidation, yet will challenge you... and Relax You!
I teach to develop a practice in and off the mat. It's where practice is real life!
I have struggled with my own body's limitations and the physical practice of yoga has not come easily to me. This journey has made me more compassionate to others who are struggling with yoga and has made me a stronger teacher.
It's about totally wellness and it starts with the mind. Getting healthy, losing weight, gaining flexibility, changing your life, it all starts with your mindset. I will help you work hard and believe you can...and you will!
Teaching yoga is a passion for me. I also teach ballet, tap, modern, lyrical and jazz dance. I have been teaching for 8 years and received my certification in yoga in Rishikesh, India.
I stepped onto the mat for the first time in 1999 and have been hooked on yoga ever since. Om Yeah! I truly feel like yoga was the hand that was extended to help me pick myself up off the ground and do something to both better myself and to help others do the same. I believe that through mindful breathing, stretching and sweating, yoga is a tool that anyone can use to live better, laugh more often and love to his/her fullest potential. I am an eclectic, energetic and committed yoga teacher and student of yoga. My teaching style is unique, and my classes are designed not only to be challenging and invigorating, but also restorative to help you cultivate and maintain your emotional balance. They are designed this way because I believe that yoga is not only a physical practice, but also an emotional and mental one. Guillaume Apollinaire, a French poet, wrote, Come to the edge," he said. They said, "We are afraid." "Come to the edge," he said. They came. He pushed them, and they flew. Join me on the mat, and lets see whats over that edge together.
LOCAL Yoga provides private or group instruction in yoga, personal wellness and meditation. Yoga Alliance certified instructor RYT-200, Jordan Davis, will guide you in pursuing a path of health and happiness geared toward your personal goals. Life can be hard, so is yoga. But when yoga class is fun and you spend time laughing, learning and breathing together, then all the benefits, such as a good work out, a sense of focus and stress relief, come a lot more easily. A part of what I love most about yoga is the struggle. It teaches you to fight your battles and work hard both on and off the mat, because the end result will be worth it. For me, yoga is meditation in movement and an ever expanding exploration of self. I am continually inspired to bring these experiences to my students. If students leave my class with a smile on their face and sweat dripping down their temples, then I know I have done my job and I am so happy to be doing it.

What goes in to a quote: I believe many people think that rates for private yoga lessons are outrageous. I understand where this comes from. But it certainly is not the case that teachers who charge more than, say, $20/hr are price gouging. To help illuminate why rates for private lessons are what they are, or should be, I want to go over what any yoga teacher who respects themselves, their students/clients, and the dedication it takes to be aware and present for their students, should take into consideration when deciding on what to charge. Education Both the initial training to become certified at the 200 hour level, as well as continuing education requirements cost money. Lots of money. Any teacher is a constant student, whether through courses, books, or classes they take themselves. Any art dealing with the human body and mind is deep and requires a constant state of being teachable and a desire to take in more. Recurring Costs Liability insurance, renewal of certification through Yoga Alliance and other organizations, equipment, taxes, CPR certification, etc. Travel Expenses Both to and from your location, or the location we are meeting (gas, car maintenance, etc.). Planning A teacher spends more time working for you than just that hour or so we are together. For every hour lesson there are at least two hours spent preparing and refining a lesson plan each week tailored to your needs and goals. Daily Practice Any good teacher has a personal practice they do every day. This allows us to teach from a place of experience and authenticity, instead of simple recitation of poses and sequences. Yes, we benefit from our personal practice, but it's also training and gaining insights that we will bring to teaching you. Being a yoga teacher is running a one person business, and as such it comes with all the expenses we don't typically think about when we compare what a teacher quotes for their services versus what we may get paid per hour at a job. On top of all this are the living costs everyone has to take care of. If a teacher quotes you anything less than $40/hr they are not doing you or themselves a service. Either they are in a situation where they do not need to make a living through their teaching, or are desperate for teaching opportunities and devaluing what they have to offer. Note: Rates can be more affordable if you have a small group (3-5 people) to split the cost with. This will make lessons less individualized, but can be a better option if you have a few friends who are interested in yoga or meditation.
