Guitar Lessons by Sean McMurray

Introduction: I am a gigging musician who has been teaching for over 18 years. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and have over 18 years of experience. Guitar is and always has been my primary instrument. Although teaching is my primary passion, I have performed with several small bands in many different styles of music, the Lyric Theater Orchestra for 5 years, Ballet Oklahoma, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, and others in the local area. My teaching curriculum varies according to the goal of the student. If you are interested in improving your ability to solo, I cater to that need. If you want to learn how to be a proficient sight reader, I can give you everything you need to accomplish that. If you feel like you need to improve your understanding of chords or your chord vocabulary, I'll be your guide to making it SIMPLE. In addition, I have an extensive knowledge of music theory and am intimately familiar with virtually all styles of music. (CLASSICAL, JAZZ, ROCK, POP, HEAVY METAL, COUNTRY, FUSION, etc) I get to help people realize their dream of playing music and we have fun doing it.
