Jerry did a wonderful job. I needed someone very quickly, and he was able to do that with a seamless install of a farm sink in a existing cabinet. I will use him again with my other projects I need done in the future.

Konstruct was a great group to work with. They completed the many projects we had on time, e.g., remodeling bathrooms, a cabinet for audo/video system, a pergolia, and a oak stair way. But most important, was their willingness to work with us and, especially important was the innovative suggestions Barry and his staff had for our projects.

Garner Custom Woodwork and Restoration built a large set of cabinets in our laundry room and they were exactly what we wanted! Terry Garner came to our house, made the measurements, and discussed what we envisioned for that very small space. We were thrilled with the final product, which was even better than we imagined. The price was extremely reasonable and the project was completed and installed in the timeframe promised. We were so pleased with this first project that we are already planning another! Garner Custom Woodwork and Restoration is a terrific company to work with, and we highly recommend them for any project! Thank you, Terry Garner, for an amazing job!

I make cabinets and small wood projects. Nothing is too small. I do quality work. If it wouldn't go in my house, it won't go in yours. The smell of fresh cut wood is the best and the satisfaction of seeing someone happy with what they get.

We provide new, custom home cabinets and trim. We do anything wood inside your home! If you can dream it, we can build it, and we usually do it for less.

I build custom cabinets, trim and do home remodeling, which includes stair cases, crowns, laminate countertops, and even tile.

I do custom cabinets, trim and general carpentry. I also do finishing, laminates, countertops, remodeling and painting.

We remodel kitchens, custom cabinets, and bathrooms. We also do exterior work such as decks, gazebos, and room additions.

I'm here in Ada Ok on family business that will require I be here until March. Knowing I'm not likely to find the type of remodel projects I've been working on I'm content to find small carpentry/handyman type work. I did bring tools with this in mind. Tools on hand One large, one small tool bag containing basic hand tools. Such as screwdrivers, pliers of every sort, hammers, pry bar, cats paw, tin snips R/L, electric current tester and more. Carpentry tool belt, tape measure, 100' tape, chalk line. Power tools: Skill Saw, with masonry and concrete blades Saws all Jig saw Router Power cords New high torque cordless drill, several set of quality drill bits, masonry included Corded 1/2 drill. 5' level Power palm sander Two containers/organizers of screws and fasteners.......very thorough saw horses tie downs I remodel everything from a "to the studs" or just a bath or kitchen. I like working with Ikea cabinets. We also work with Simi Handmade. They offer a wide variety of door options that are precisely made for all current Ikea cabinets. While I am a carpenter by trade I'm best suited 'project manager', fulfilling the duties of a general contractor, using only licensed and fully insured subs. Please note: I'm not a licensed contractor. I do have several choices for a contractor to work under if that became an issue........raises the cost to homeowner. Have a look at the youtube of my Kings Point project. The job was fully permitted by the building department, all taken out by myself as 'agent for the owner'. All subs carried there own insurance that is expected, workers comp, and liability. Every aspect inspected and signed off by city inspector. I was highly involved in the overall appeal of the finished project. I worked closely with a designer/architect, bringing many of the finishes and floor plan ideas to life (flooring, front door, relocation of 1/2 bath, making the headboard wall in master possible by re-routing HVAC supply) For the right project I have access to very good architecture and design, making us truly design build.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      Do you tip cabinet installers?

In general, home service providers such as electricians, plumbers and contractors are professionals who don’t expect tips. They expect to do a job for you for the specific price they quoted. Of course, they may appreciate a tip for a job particularly well done or for which they’ve gone beyond what’s normally expected, such as completing the project early or under budget. Even better than a tip, it’s always appropriate to leave a positive review online after a good experience.

      How much is custom cabinetry?

Custom cabinets can be built for any room, including bedroom closets and built-in armoires. Measured carefully and built precisely, custom cabinetry can increase storage and beautify any room. The national average for building custom cabinets ranges from $500 to $1,200 per linear foot. The cost is highly variable because there are so many styles, colors, glazes and other options. In general, the linear footage of the cabinets, the materials used to build them, and the cost of the labor will determine the cost. Solid wood costs more than plywood and wood veneer, and costs vary among different types of wood; maple and cherry cabinets are more expensive than pine. Glass-front cabinets can cost more, as can decorative hinges, handles and door pulls, which can cost $2-$45 each; choose carefully to stay within your budget and pull off the exact look you’re going for. Some carpenters also charge for installation, on average $100 per cabinet box. Additional molding and trim, such as crown molding at the ceiling, cost an average of $70 per 8-foot section, and adding finished ends to exposed cabinets averages $100-$200.

How much does it cost to have kitchen cabinets installed?

In any kitchen, the cabinets are the main focus, so you want to make sure new or replacement cabinets are installed correctly. A professional carpenter can properly, securely mount new cabinets to the wall; the national average cost for this service is $7,725, although the cost varies widely depending on the type of cabinets, their material and their size, and the accessories you add. A typical fee is $70 per linear foot to remove existing cabinets and assemble and install new ones; the cost is less if you do the demolition and removal yourself. Stock cabinets are the least expensive to have installed, ranging from $75 to $400 each; semi-custom cabinets range from $150 to $900 each; and custom cabinets cost from $500 to $1,400 each. Wood cabinets are more expensive than those made from plywood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and finished with a laminate. Wood cabinets range in cost from $80 to $160 per linear foot. Laminate-finished cabinets cost $35 to $75 per linear foot, on average.
