Wow. This woman loves my dog more than me ... Lol. Seriously , she cared for them all during my trip. I did not want to leave them in a kennel and I thought this was my answer. I was right. She is an angel and I will not hesitate using her again! Thanks Sarah !

What a great trainer! She is so in tact with you and your dog. I have a stafford shire and she (Mali) my stafford shire loves Gayla!! I'm so lucky as a owner of a pit bull breed to have found Gayla ( 2pawsup) to not only love the breed but so loving of the very family that will take on such a task. She is a true pit (pet) lover and we are blessed! Thank you Gayla I owe you so much!

Adrian is my daughter so I cannot leave a review but I can address her personally. She has had her own dog for the past 3 years. She walks it daily and cares for her needs daily. She always smells good (-and she is a bulldog) and has clean bedding. I must say she could do a better job of vacuuming up the pet hair but tha is all part of having an inside, white short-haired bulldog. Adrian is loved by all pets the she encounters. It was always strange to me how they would go the her but now it is expected. Even with the older pets that seemed snippy towards young children. If you need an extra hand caring for your pet Adrian will exceed your expectations.bshe has a check list that she will have you complete prior to any services rendered so she knows how you want your family "pet" member to be treated.

Kaylee is a great pet sitter! My dog loves her to death, the cats who are anti social even come out to sit with her! She always does such a great job of taking care of them. She is the only pet sitter/house sitter I would ever use! She always leaves the house just as I left before I go on trips, if not cleaner!!

We left for Christmas holiday out of state. Amanda took great care of our 2 dogs. They were fed, watered and giving TLC. We came home to happy and healthy pups!

I can do day pet care as well as overnight. I will also train, groom and walk dogs. I will accept any animal (even pit bulls) no matter what, and I can go with aggression fear medication and rowdy behavior for no extra cost. I charge $7 an hour and $20 a night for overnight care.

I can do anything people need me to do. I am flexible, and I have a full-time job at Tinker AFB. I need extra money to pay for my rent, and I'm willling to help people if needed.

With the college and the military base so close, I know that a lot of people are afraid to leave because they don't have a reliable person to watch their beloved pets. It can be really stressful when you're trying to fly home for the summer or you're leaving on deployment and have no way to bring your poor cat or dog along with you. I am offering a pet walking and pet sitting service for locals, whether you have to work a late shift and want someone to come by and check on your pet for a night or you're leaving for an extended period of time and would like your pet to be able to stay in the comfort of your own home. I've taken care of many dogs, cats, chinchillas, hamsters, fish, etc. and have only had the most pleasant experiences. My rates are as follows: * Pet walks: local (within 10 miles) -- $15 * Pet walks: nonlocal -- $15 plus $.25 every mile for over 10 miles for gas * House-sitting: local -- $25 per night or $100 for 5 days at your residence * House-sitting: local -- $20 per night or $75 for 5 days at my residence All other sitting needs can be discussed and arranged as needed. I'd like to help more than I'm worried about how little or how much you can pay. I have a passion for animals and would like to use that passion to help people. Please email or text me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your time.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a dog walker do?

We all know our dogs love going on long, adventure-filled walks, but jobs and family and commuting can make it difficult to give them the leash time they deserve. You can hire a professional dog walker to make sure your furry friend gets adequate exercise and outdoor time each day. A professional dog walker may be an individual contractor or work for a dedicated dog-walking company. In either case, you want to make sure the pro has the appropriate insurance in case of an emergency. Some people opt to give the dog walker a key to their house; others to have them pick up the dog from the yard. Dog walking can happen as often as multiple times per day, or just a few times a month as needed. Here are some questions to ask when you are interviewing a new dog walker:

      • Will you or someone else be walking my dog?
      • Do you have a backup plan if you can’t make it for a scheduled walk?
      • Will you walk my dog by itself, or do you walk several dogs at once?
      • What are your different walk routes?
      • When will you pick up and drop off?
      • How will we communicate?
      • Do I have to commit to a schedule or are you flexible?
      • What’s your cancellation policy?
      • What’s your response plan if my dog gets injured or becomes sick?
      • How and how often do I pay you?
      • Do you offer package pricing if I buy multiple dog walks up front?

How much do dog walkers charge?

The cost of dog walking depends on several factors including length and frequency of dog walks, the number of dogs on the walk, distance to your house, and any additional services you request. The national average cost range for a dog walk is $10-$20, but that price will vary based on where you live in the country and the regional cost of living and doing business.

The longer the dog walk, the higher your costs will be. Dog walkers offer a range of walk lengths, from 15-minute potty breaks to long hikes of 120 minutes or more. For example, a dog walker may charge $15 for a 15-minute walk and $35 for a 35-minute walk. Requesting that your dog be the only animal on the walk will typically mean a higher cost than if you permit your dog to be walked in a pack of dogs. You may be able to get a discounted rate if you have more than one dog to be walked. For example, a professional dog walker may charge $28 for one dog or $33 for two dogs on a 60-minute walk. If you need additional help — like feeding the dogs or giving them medication — dog walkers may be able to provide this service at an additional fee. Dog walkers may charge higher rates for walking your dogs on holidays.
