I was introduced to Julianna by her mother about 6 years ago when I was on a quest to lose weight and get healthier. At that time I had never utilized the services of a trainer but after meeting with her and at 48 and in declining health I was willing to give it a try. I found Juli to be knowledgeable, experienced and very passionate in the fitness training and nutritional fields. Juli is always cheerful and happy and although she was persistent and truly dedicated in helping me achieve and maintain my established targets and goals, I never found her to be overbearing or unreasonable. During our initial meetings Juli designed and tailored a fitness plan specifically for me and during our sessions she remembered and tracked all of my performance and abilities and through the use of the most important weight training principles I never once was injured. By training with Juli I was able to get in the best shape of my life and I am truly grateful that she is my friend.

I started working out with Baz a little over 3 months ago. I have some chronic health issues including chronic fatigue syndrome and Meniere’s disease I had not worked with a trainer before and I had an opportunity to get in as part of a small group with Baz. I really wanted to gain some muscle to be stronger and to slim down overall. I have lost 5% of my body weight as a start and can tell by my clothes that I have slimmed down all over. More importantly, I have gained stability and feel I have better balance, which is important as I have Meniere’s affecting my inner ears. My energy level has improved a good deal with the consistency of exercise. And a few times, my friends have noticed that I have lost weight, which is always a nice thing! I am continuing on my journey to drop more weight and gain more muscle and continue on to better fitness!

She is a hard core coach! Extremely fair and absolutely knowledge! She has pushed me to do it! Made me believe that I could do it and was there for me when I almost gave up! I loved her style of coaching. She takes you where you want to be. When I started with her I was desperate because all coaches i hs in the past wasn't there for me. Tanya is the Chinese coach that makes you a different person. My goal was to have a firm legs, better middle section and more strength. My fist month I was already seen the results. She is a amazing coach and if I was living near her a would be the happiest person and well trained champ!

I have had excellent results with Legacy Fitness and Zacch Jackson as my personal trainer. Zacch is professional in his approach to fitness, nutrition, and a healthy life style. I'm not a power lifter or body builder. But having Zacch as my personal trainer has kept me safe and motivated to achieve my goals. I would recommend Zacch to anyone looking to improve overall health and fitness. Increase strength and stability. I was inactive for many years and not so young anymore either. If you are looking to get fit at any age Zacch is a great trainer. He will keep you motivated and encourages you towards a healthy body and mind. Don't put off taking care of yourself...and with Zacch's approach to training it's possible no matter where your at, you can only get better.

Fast Fitness and owner Rick East, ...I cannot say enough about the total change his expert training has done for my wife and I. On my last check up, my doctor wanted to know what I was doing (or taking) to lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and other blood factors. They had not been that good in over 10 years! I feel great and at 58, I am starting to feel like I did in my 30's. The trainers will work with you to obtain your goals what ever they are, from a couch potato like I was to a serious athlete, Fast Fitness will get you there, no gym rats here. Clientele is adult, and serious about improving their quality of life. For me it was mobility, stability, and agility. I have been going regularly for nearly 7 months and my wife and I decided that this was going to be a lifestyle choice, integrated into our monthly budget because the benefits far outweigh anything we've tried. His rates are reasonable and do-able. If you are serious about reversing decades of decline in your quality of life, see Rick East owner of Fast Fitness 918.893.3866 Call today for your FREE physical assessment!

Hiring Kami as a trainer was one of the best things I could have done for my health. Most trainers I've worked with did little more than show up, and often seemed as though they were "winging" their lessons. Kami not only takes the time to prepare custom workouts for ME, but she genuinely cares about my success. Finding a trainer who's genuine, caring, and 100% devoted to helping meet my goals has been a God send.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      What is a health coach?

A health coach is a service provider you can hire to help you realize your wellness goals. You can hire a health and wellness coach to guide you through life changes, keep you focused on weight loss or fitness goals, help boost your mental health, and more. Many health coaches work with their clients for set periods of time as the client moves toward a measurable goal. Wellness coaches come from varying backgrounds, and may have different areas of focus depending on their education and training. Research potential coaches by reading their reviews, researching their academic and personal backgrounds, and learning about any certifications they have earned from coaching institutes. Often, health and wellness coaches sell coaching packages ranging from three to six months or longer, depending on the client’s needs. The average national cost for an individual health coach session ranges from $60 to $90, although prices may range as low as $30 or up to $130 or more, depending on your location and the coach.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians. Different institutes and training centers provide certifications for holistic wellness coaching, so be sure to research your coach and read their reviews to understand more about their techniques and training.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
