Charlotte Coachman has taken care of our dogs over several years when we have needed to be gone from home. Since she is a live in dog sitter, she takes care of our house and dogs. She gives medicine if one or more of the 4 dogs we have is on medication at the time. She also maintains the discipline and love the we ourselves bestow upon our dogs. I would highly recommend Char (as we lovingly call her) to anyone who is in need of a live in pet sitter. The price she charges is so small compared to the excellent care and compassion she shows our furry family.

I met with Sarah and her beautiful horses, and loved the lesson plans and flexibility Sarah offered! Unfortunately, due to a change in my family's schedule, I will have to put off doing the lessons until later in the year. But, I definitely look forward to working with Sarah and her horses when that time comes!

This lady is absolutely wonderful!!! There is NO ONE ELSE I'll ever call again to pet sit in my home. She is quiet, very calm, and my dogs went right to her the first time she came for a meet & greet! She took wonderful care of Lexi & Sam, kept my house safe and clean, is reasonable in price, and is one of the nicest people I've ever met. It is so nice to not have to worry about my rescued, sensitive pets anymore if I want to take a trip without them. She definitely will be my "go to" when I take trips.

Kalea was great with my 5 year-old. She was patient and kind with her, and she has a calm and sweet demeanor. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed meeting Kalea and her horses and is looking forward to more lessons in the future.

Very professional, very friendly. She came over a few days prior to our trip to meet our cats and get familiar with our house. She left a journal of each days activities, collected our mail and switched our lights. Will hire again!

Kora rode several horses for us. You never have to worry about your horse. She rides them with respect. She is always on time and returns your phone calls. She'll go above and beyond what is asked for her. She truly loves horses. She is just an all-around wonderful person.

My name is Alia (Ally), and I offer pet sitting services to Coweta and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I have over 10 years of experience working with and caring for animals professionally, including 7 years as a veterinary assistant. I truly have a passion for animals; mine are a big part of my life, and I understand that special bond we can form with our pets. For me, pet sitting isn't a chore; it's a privilege. I do in-home visits at the client's house 1 to 3 times daily, and visits usually last 25 to 30 minutes. In addition to providing pets with food, water, potty breaks and plenty of attention, I will also water plants (if needed), bring in the mail and adjust lights/blinds. My experience is mostly with dogs and cats, but I have cared for exotics such as tortoises and tarantulas, and I am open to other unusual pets. My fees are $12 per visit, and I do not charge extra for giving medications or any special care a pet may need, within reason. Please email me with further questions!

The Reliable Horse & Pet Sitter will take care of dogs and cats as most pet sitters will. But if you own a horse, a goat, pic, cow, or "other" you are going to need a sitter with experiance.

Are you going away and can't take your pet? I can take care of them like my own. Just bring their food and favorite toy.

We have friendly horses and give riding lessons to children 3 and up and adults. We also feature kid's summer camps which include horse riding and arts and crafts. We also have therapeutic riding for mildly challenged students (like ADD, ADHD, deaf, etc.) We board horses, and have a few friendly horses for sale. If you are unsure about buying a horse, we have a horse they can lease. We offer Khemos Top Brass, Arabian stallion at stud.

I have worked for some high profile agencies sitting for Children, Invalids, houses, and animals. I have a love for all walks of life, and animals! I have also worked as a professional nanny on and off for years, and worked as a caregiver for the elderly. When I ventured into Culinary Arts School, I was a single parent, and would take evening jobs through a professional agency called Agape Inc., and care for Children, and or an elderly person, I absolutely loved doing this, for I have such a love and compassion for both! My love for animals goes way back to to my childhood, for I was riding horses at the tender age of 5, up till now! I used to own a boarding and training facility in Texas, and barrelled raced for yrs. When it comes to dogs, They are my heart, as I do love cats too, but there is just something about a dog! I have had the pleasure of also owning, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, tropical birds, and etc. I absolutely love animals, and am very good with them! Growing up in Florida, I did a lot of house sitting for clients and neighbors who went on vacation, I have always treated thier homes and privacy with the upmost respect, as I would want mine treated! I am a Christian women, and believe that you reap what you sow, so you get back what you put in! I do fear God, and His judgements!😊

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

  • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
  • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
    • 45-minute visit: $28.
    • 60-minute visit: $32.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
    • 12 hours: $100.
    • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
