I'm Jeremy, and I run Memory Converter, a family-owned digitizing studio in Hollywood, Florida. I turn VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, MiniDV, Betamax and PAL tapes, 8mm and Super 8 film, audio cassettes, reel-to-reel, and photos, slides and negatives into digital files. I do every job myself, by hand, in my studio. Nothing is ever sent to another company. Tapes are $18 each at any length, and photos are $0.72 each. Moldy, sticky or snapped tapes are cleaned or repaired for $5, and the assessment is free. Your files come through a private cloud link that doesn't expire, and a USB drive or DVD is $10 if you want one. Most orders are ready in 24 hours to about a week, and you see your files before you pay. Drop off at the studio with no appointment, or I'll pick up within 20 miles for $25 each way. More than 4,000 tapes and 75,000 photos digitized, 240+ five-star Google reviews, BBB Accredited.See more

Antonio P. says, "I had the pleasure of working with Frē Media for a recent corporate event, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, their team was professional, organized, and creative. They took the time to understand our vision and captured every important moment with precision and artistry. The final video exceeded our expectations—it was polished, engaging, and truly highlighted the energy of the event. What stood out most was their attention to detail and ability to make everyone feel comfortable on camera, which made the footage look natural and authentic. If you’re looking for a team that delivers both quality and creativity, Frē Media is the one to call. They turned our event into a lasting memory, and I highly recommend them for any corporate or special occasion."See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

If you’re going to hire a video editor, you can expect an average total cost of $85-$600. However, you should get several estimates from different video editors because your costs can vary. A major cost factor is time — some companies may set their prices depending on the video’s length, and others might charge an hourly rate for their work.

Read our cost guide, “How much does video editing cost?”

You should search for a video editor online and review their client testimonials, skills, specialties, past projects and prices. Conclude your search by contacting three to five different video editors to ask them questions about their services and request price quotes.
