FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for movement based work (Personal training and movement therapy) is $65/hour. When purchasing sessions for a month at a time (whether that's once a week, or three), I offer a 10% discount. For manual and neuro based therapies, prices are $100/hour session when paid at time of service. When buying 3 sessions at a time, we offer a 10% discount. When paying after time of service, price will depend on which procedure is being carried out. At this time we do take Aetna, Cigna, Pacific Source, United Healthcare, Providence, and Blue Cross insurance plans for manual and neuro based therapies.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In addition to any initial questions discussed online, I prefer to meet with every potential client/patient in person to talk over their goals and what they're really looking for, their questions, discuss my methods and introduce them to my facility. This lets us figure out if we're a good fit, or if another professional is a better fit for their needs. With the rehab side, we will do an initial (no charge) consultation to go over your initial relevant health history, check and make sure I'm the appropriate professional for your care needs, and give you an idea of what the work I do is and how it works. From there, we get started. This can be quite varied for training clients, depending on their situation and goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained at the National Personal Training Institute of Portland, a licensing length and quality school (Note: there is no training licensing requirements yet, but this is what it would be, and compare to such programs as a massage licensing program). I am also a certified neurokinetic therapist, working as a rehabilitation professional for a wide range of physical pains and dysfunctions. I am also a licensed massage therapist (OR LMT#: 22299), having been trained at the University of Western States clinical massage therapy program. I have been additionally trained in a neurology based cranial technique, the use of rock tape medical taping for performance and rehabilitative purposes, and the list generally goes on. On top of my formal training, I am constantly working on independent research projects, and am working towards a doctoral program in physical therapy.
