FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a 5% listing commission fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Sellers: Sit down formally or have a conversation over the phone to discuss what the marketing plan for their home looks like, go over their priorities in selling the home and discuss what to expect to see if it looks like we will be a good fit to work together. Buyers: Market conditions dictates some of the smaller details but buyers must currently be in the pre-approval stage with lender or be willing to initiate that process before we look at properties. I love to get a list of 4-6 must haves, 3-5 wants and 2-4 hopes and dreams. I take as much information as possible to narrow down the list of homes. If we can't narrow down to 6-10 homes, we haven't talked enough about the buying process or type of home you are looking for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly. We are only required to complete 27 hours every two years. I usually average about 120 hours a year. It's the only way you know you are offering your clients the most current information. I am also a certified instructor for the OAR for the State of Oregon.
