Introduction: I attended high school at Natomas Charter Performing and Fine Arts Academy and began my classical ballet training with The Sacramento Ballet in 2007.
While training with Sacramento Ballet, I was able to perform in several productions with the company, including The Nutcracker and Alice in Wonderland.
In 2013, I was offered a contract to work with Alaska Dance Theatre located in Anchorage, AK. Under the direction of Gillmer Duran, I was fortunate to dance a featured role in our first production "Cash & Cline".
In addition, I am fortunate to work with Amy Seiwert (named one of "Dance Magazines 25 to watch" in 2005). As she set a new ballet, titled "Monuments" on the company.
On top of performing with the company, I was given many opportunities to work closely with the school, subbing in for teachers when they couldn't make it to a class or occasionally coming in as a guest teacher.
I recently moved to Eugene, Oregon in order to accept a contract to dance with Eugene Ballet Company. I am nearing the end of my first season with the company, and it has been a huge growing experience for me.
Company life gives you a new understanding for the term "whipped into shape". As I will soon be on a brief hiatus from the company, I hope to discover new opportunities to teach and spread some of the new-found knowledge that I am obtaining.
