Jerry and his team provided food and beverage service for a wedding I was putting together last weekend. The bride and groom wanted Mexican food and Jerry provided a delicious buffet of meats, salsas, and all the sides we needed. He also provided a bar tender for the evening, she was very polite to the guests and provided a great service. Everyone loved the food, they all left full and happy.
For starters, the food was AWESOME! The food looked and tasted amazing, the plates and silverware looked real, even though they were plastic and she even provided a table cloth to make the presentation that much better. Everyone raved over the food and many people asked about the caterer I used. There was more than enough food, and everyone got to take home some leftovers. She understood I wanted to do something special for my work force; all I hand was an idea. She advised me on different options and we came up with the perfect menu. She was very understanding of my lack of knowledge on the catering business and walked me through everything and answered all of my questions promptly, and trust me there was a lot of questions. I give my full recommendation to Sandra’s Goodies!
I was a guest at a recent Mexican-themed dinner party catered by Alison, where everything - from tortilla chips and salsa to tortillas to a buttercream-iced cake - was made from scratch and excellent. Anyone considering her catering services would be well served to look at her blog (www.awonderlandofwords.com), wherein she clearly demonstrates great pride and love for her work. Alison is an excellent, warm and conscientious chef.
Jamie had it going on, from concept to completion for an event I put on for a client. These was my first client event and she was able to help with any issues that arose from my lack of preparation and experience. I also have attended an event she catered and the food was delicious (the main reason I hired her to do my own client's event!). I am looking forward to working with her again. Less stress for me!
We had a very simple wedding ceremony at home, followed by an intimate catered dinner with a grand total of 11 people including me and the groom. It was greatly appreciated that staff were willing to drive all the way from Tigard to our house in Kalama, Washington. Miranda was well organized and friendly. She was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, thoroughly answering any questions we had for her. We did a food tasting prior to booking and enjoyed the food we were able to sample, although after the fact we wished we would have had the opportunity to try the coriander salmon with peach/avocado salsa since it was "award-winning". We ended up ordering it as one of our three entrees and were a bit nervous that it may end up being a little over the top for us since we usually prepare salmon very simply at home. However, we found it to be delicious. The guests were very complimentary about the dinner. I especially liked the penne pasta with mushrooms and truffle cream sauce. We were sent two caterers for our event, one to serve food and one to bartend. We provided our own alcohol for the bartender to serve, so we had ingredients and garnishes for most basic cocktails. We also provided homemade mint-infused simple syrup to add to mojitos. When the catering staff showed up on the wedding day, the staff member designated as our bartender confided that she was very nervous since she had not bartended in about 30 years. She did not know how to make basic cocktails, which surprised us a little, but she was very friendly and accommodating, and used a flip book of recipes for guidance. The groom pointed out the mint simple syrup in the fridge while the bartender was setting up for the event and explained to her that it was for the mojitos. When I took a sip of the first mojito I ordered that evening, it was extremely strong since it had no simple syrup and just a splash of club soda. The bartender was more than happy to add the simple syrup and a bit more club soda at my request, which made it taste great. I was a bit worried about how my guests' drinks might be tasting, but didn't hear any complaints. The bartender was hard working and personable with the guests. We provided our own coffee to be served at the event. However, the grounds we had were either too course for the catering company's percolator or the measurement was off, because the coffee poured out looking more like dilute tea. We ended up making coffee for our guests with our French press. The catering van pulled into the garage and remained parked there in order to load the food and supplies into our house. The garage is the first thing one sees when he or she is driving up our long, winding gravel driveway. The groom asked staff if they could please shut the garage door once they were inside so that guests would be prompted to use the walkway around the side of the house and enter from the entrance rather than through the garage and laundry room. The garage door was never shut, so all of the guests came in this way. It wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't as visually appealing. Overall, we were happy with the way our wedding dinner turned out and found the staff at Divine Catering to be very friendly. I may have decided not to purchase a bartending package had I known that we would be provided with an inexperienced bartender, but the evening still turned out well regardless.
I wanted to make my daughter's first baby shower a special memory. My daughter also only eats vegan. Maribel made many things of Vegan approved ingredients. Some of the things she made were Peruvian food. Peruvian Food is something I was not previously aware of and I have discovered it is exceptionally delicious. I will not dare to try to pronounce or spell what I like best of the Peruvian foods. The item most commented on at the baby shower were these little delicious cupcakes: Maribel created baby faces on the cupcakes of various expressions using frosting. We did not agree in advance on a price for a catering this baby shower for 25 guests. Considering the amount of work and the amount of food the price was very reasonable.
I have been to several events that Your Kitchen Chef has catered. The food was outstanding and delicious! Your Kitchen Chef Catering offers an assortment of foods in which to choose. I would recommend them to everyone. You cannot beat the food, or service. They are, in my opinion, the best catering company in Beaverton, Oregon. -- Fran
Allison did a fantastic job catering my daughter's birthday party! She was very responsive and early to deliver the food. The food was displayed very nicely with much more on them than expected. The quality was outstanding, we especially enjoyed the short ribs, but it was all wonderful! I completely recommend her to anyone!
Danielle did a great job , she has a great personality, very accommodating to our requests; she was punctual, the food on the table look very nice, the quality of the food was very good as well. We heard very good comments from the people attending the meeting. We would recommend Bear Country Catering for you catering needs! You won't regret it.
We had a company event with around 30 people. The food was delicious and Shoshana was efficient, sensitive to the progress of the event and took care of all the details and cleanup in a friendly professional manner. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!
As a picky eater and long time friend of the owner of Eats Creative Cuisine, I've been invited to many holiday events over the years for which he provided the food. From appetizers, to main courses and deserts; everything was simply excellent in terms of presentation, variety, flavor, quality, and freshness of ingredients. To each dish prepared, he brought his own individual style and devotion to perfection which added up to some of the best dining experiences I've had the good fortune to enjoy. Honestly, I can't think of any negatives. If you are serious about impressing your guests, do yourself a favor and book Eats Creative Cuisine for your next event. They will be amazed!
I hosted a birthday party for my father's 79th and it was catered by Elaine and Austin. They brought a roasted turkey (also brined, rubbed and basted with herbed butter) with garlic mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies. Everyone loved the food, especially my dad. Everything was hot, ready to serve, right on time and delicious! Prices were very reasonable too!! I will definitely hire them again.
Zartin's Catering was fabulous! The food was amazing and the staff was incredible. They were very easy to work with and I highly recommend them!
Rick Browne's expertise in all facets of cooking are outstanding, but are particularly impressive in all things related to BBQ. By that, I mean grilling, smoking, and the preparation of foods being considered. He blends experience developed over years to create classics, from Baked Alaska for intimate dinner parties of 25 guests, to smoking a suckling pig on an indirect smoker to serve 200 people. Well versed in kitchen technique, he is an astute chef that has a very rare recognition degree of a Doctorate in BBQ from some prestigious societies in the trade. RIck is an engaging conversationalist at every event I have been a part of with him, espousing his knowledge of food and wine pairings to the guests enjoyment.
Orlando and Kelly are very professional people, friendly and accommodating. We used El Vaquero BBQ & Catering for our wedding in Corvallis and were very impressed with their services. They brought everything needed for serving the food and were a huge help to us. The food was awesome and we would definitely recommend them. They went above and beyond their services and helped make sure everything was perfect!!
Taste of Life catered a meeting for me. Charnel prepared lunch for 12 people. She arrived on time and was very professional. The food was amazing and the cost was reasonable. I highly recommend Taste of Life!

We are a university in Portland, OR that hires breakfast and lunch catering for new student orientation events 3 times per year. We have been using a larger commercial catering firm for several years but really wanted a fresh menu and to work with a local smaller café. We stopped by the café/bakery one day to purchase some bakery items and some lunch items to sample prior to choosing our new caterer. Our team loved all of the items and decided to hire Mehri. Mehri was very responsive from initial contact, to planning and through the day of the event. She is a creative and talented chef and everything was delicious. The food was delivered on time and the presentation was perfect. All of the feedback we received was positive. Other departments at the university that need occasional catering asked for Mehri's business card. We will be hiring her for our next event in March.
Over the years I have worked with many caterers and most of the time they are OK. The workshop has been a great asset to me and the families I serve at Estacada Funeral Chapel. They are willing to work within a budget, give great service and great food. They also are not stressed which is important in my job. They calmly come in and work their magic.
