Latest Review: From my experience, Blake Marble is among some of the best piano teachers in this generation, especially for his age. He takes special care to impress a large range of pianistic details onto his students, fundamental or advanced, all while remaining relaxed and tolerant to his students. He imposes not a restrictive structure to his students, but one which, with the help of the student, is a nurturing one which ultimately not only excites the student to practice, but also molds with and improves the student's technique substantially. Finally, Blake Marble is one of the few piano teachers I have found, which honestly and deeply cares about not only piano technique, but also pianistic artistry, and pushes the student in all accounts to developing a true artistry for the piano.

Latest Review: Kris Savitski is an amazing teacher and listener. I was nervous about the little knowledge and experience I had with playing piano being 35 years old. As I took a music theory class in college I used to know a bit more but it had been so long and wanted to finally learn to really play. Kris was able to quickly see where I was at and took the time in our first session to see what my strengths and (many) weaknesses were lol. He was able to immediately give me a couple of drills to practice at home or anywhere to build dexterity strength. Every lesson I have been taking with Kris is enjoyable as we practice pieces recommended by him to get me up to speed and improve music theory skills but ALSO pieces that I am interested in learning. I used to think that taking piano lessons would be boring and dreadful to go to, but Kris TRULY ADAPTED TO HOW I LEARN and mostly uses genres that appeal to me! His INNOVATIVE TEACHING is what has kept me coming back and continuing to take lessons from him. Some of our sessions include him playing a melody while I improvise the harmony which allows me to really learn the type of sound(s) I feel sound amazing together in order to write my own pieces. He will also video what I'm playing via my phone so that I can remember the improvised sounds and notes, along with finger placement for me to refer to when practicing at home. Of course he provides classic learning pieces to practice which are key for me to improve my music reading skills and muscle memory for finger placements as well. I mentioned to Kris in one of my later lessons that I wanted to write AND SING songs and he has now incorporated voice lessons with our practices. I never thought I would have enough courage to sing seriously in front of someone but Kris has a way of being professional yet truly helpful in a way that allows you to be comfortable as it can be scary opening your creativity up to anyone. Therefore I now have the the courage and ease to sing in front of him and have learned so many breathing and vocal techniques since we've started incorporating vocal too! I would highly recommend Kris to anyone at any skill set level as he is a true teacher and listener with extreme talent.

Latest Review: When we arrived for the initial consultation for singing lessons and my daughter saw the piano, she asked if she could take piano lessons first. So, we're now taking piano lessons from Bonnie. I find her to work very well with kids, my daughter is 8, and my daughter likes her and is happy too. She explains things clearly, gives praise when earned, and is helpful and pleasant to work with.

Latest Review: Liz is the kind of teacher I yearned for when I was taking music lessons as a child. She makes it possible to succeed by her encouragement, high expectations and the fact that she breaks each task down into manageable pieces. My 9 year-old daughter has been taking lessons from Liz for almost 5 years. During that time, she has grown so much in her love of music, her poise in performing and in her work ethic. My almost 7 year-old son has been taking lessons for 2 years. He is a bouncy, energetic boy and it took him a while to learn to pay attention to detail. Now he is so proud of himself that he can memorize music carefully and not have to correct mistakes later. My husband and I chose the Suzuki method because it trains the musical ear and focuses on developing good technique. We chose Liz because we knew several of her students and has seen their fabulous growth. We also really like the Group lessons (which many other teachers do not offer). They provide a chance to become comfortable with performing and the games make learning theory fun. Group also helps the families at Studio 88 be a chose-knit group. The students become friends and encourage each other. If you choose Liz as your piano teacher, she will expect you to practice with your child on a daily basis. She will give you a list of tasks to complete during the week. She will expect you to take notes during lessons. Her lessons continue year-round (with breaks for the major holidays). If you want to drop your child off at lessons and let your child practice by him/her self, then you should look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are looking for the highest quality piano teacher who is willing to work extremely hard to turn your child into a topnotch musician, Liz is the teacher for you.

Latest Review: Jeremy is a fantastic instructor. I took piano lessons from him with an emphasis on music theory. He expertly calibrated the lessons to my level of experience with both and as well as my learning speed. He has an easygoing and encouraging presence, and explains concepts in several different ways, making them easier to understand and remember. I had a lot of fun. Thanks, Jeremy!

Latest Review: I’ve been taking voice lessons on and off for over 20 years in 4 different states with many different instructors. Anya is perhaps the most gifted, knowledgeable and relatable instructor I’ve ever had and I would recommend her to anyone from beginner to advanced! Truly a positive experience in so many ways. So happy to have found her!

Latest Review: Paul Paresa is a true professional that can teach lessons, lead the band and be an amazing person and musician. I had Paul Paresa on my junior recital last week. He helped a lot with recital organization and gave really good feedback to other musicians such as drummer, bass and guitar players and etc. Paul is a great musician to work with. Highly recommend!

Latest Review: Phil did an exceptional job at our wedding. He played the steel drum at our outdoor wedding before the ceremony began. He played beautiful music of our choosing on the grand piano during our cocktail hour. Then D J'd the reception while playing a variety of live music on his keyboard and the steel drum. He played music of our choosing as well as requests from our guests. Phil knew exactly what to do and when to do it and performed with little or no direction. Our guests loved Phil and commented on how great he was. He provided and set up all his own professional quality sound and lighting equipment and even video taped his performance and the dancing. Thank you Phil for making our wedding so memorable.
