As a therapist/healer, Katie is a 15 on a 1 to 10 scale. She has helped me generate a positive self-image from a long history of self-sabotaging negativity. Her capacity to deeply listen to, hear, and address my concerns is stellar. Her depth of knowledge of hypnosis and NLP is deep and ever-increasing.Her intuition is flawless. The recordings she makes of our sessions are gems that I listen to over and over. She is a healer of the highest order. Her eyes, voice, laughter, spiritual realization, and the vast knowing she has accumulated make each session a priceless treasure. Cat has assisted several times before I went into surgery with hypnosis. Both times she worked with me on doing well during and after the surgery iwas told by my doctors how well I was doing. One was truly amazed at the speed of my recovery. I am hoping that she will be able to assist me again with my next surgery. She takes as much time as needed during a session and seems to intuitively know what is needed.

About

I work with clients who seek support as they face and navigate life's many challenges, as well as clients who are simply ready to move in a new direction in their lives. I approach my role in the therapeutic process as a helper and guide, rather than as an expert. I accompany my clients on their exploration to uncover their internal wisdom for overcoming life's challenges. I inherently believe that each and every person has all the wisdom needed within themselves for healing, and it is the "stuff" of everyday life that often covers up that wisdom. Together, we will excavate those old ideas, behaviors and beliefs that are no longer effective or useful and experiment with new ways of showing up in the world that feels authentic to your true self. Some of the therapeutic services I offer are: Couples Therapy: - Increasing or maintaining intimacy - Issues of fidelity and jealousy - Communication difficulties - Pre-marital counseling Individual Therapy: - Self identification - Transition into early adulthood, middle age and senior years - Personal growth and exploration - Transitions from coupled life to single life or transitions from single to coupled life - Anxiety and depression management - Applied mindfulness Family Therapy: - Parenting support - Transition into parenthood - Understanding your child's perplexing behaviors - Balancing parenting roles with spousal roles - Transitioning into single parenthood - Empty nest syndrome - Blending/Blended families Grief and Loss: - Loss of a loved one (either recent or in the past) - Loss of job - Loss of a relationship - Loss of a beloved pet - Loved one coming out as GLBT Compulsive and Addictive Behaviors: - Internet and social media - Pornography - Shopping - Compulsive behaviors Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Support: - Coming out - Family support - Exploration of gender identity - Relationship support - Same-sex parenting

About

I offer humanistic style, spirituality, desensitization training and chemical dependency therapy. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, conflict, and addictions. I provide traditional talk therapy, conflict resolution, desensitization training, substance abuse assessments and therapy, and Reiki energy work. All to provide service to your personal growth and help you overcome difficulties. My style is client centered, humanistic and relationally based. Therapy that I offer is often spirited and frequently challenging (but always supportive), can be life changing, and marked by humor. In therapy, you'll move toward self-analysis and introspection, and with the feedback that I provide, find the solutions to your questions. You'll experience and explore yourself in a truthful way that will bring clearer understanding for the possible need for modifications in your life and assist in strengthening your determination and desire to begin to take action. I received my master's degree of Social Work from Wayne State University at Detroit, Michigan. My Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree was awarded Summa Cum Laude at Eastern Michigan University. I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) Level III in Oregon State. I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon State. I have over 12 years of experience as a certified Reiki Master doing energy work. I learned Desensitization Training through classes in Behavioral and Cognitive Interventions at Wayne State University, while doing graduate work. National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the national and local Association of Humanistic Psychology or AHP bespeak my membership. My initial consultation of 30 minutes is usually free. If it appears an excellent therapeutic "fit", we'll talk about the length and direction of your therapy. My standard fee per 50-minute session is $90, and I give a sliding scale based on your family income. Payment is made by check or cash at each meeting. Other than accident or illness, if you don't show up for a scheduled meeting or if you withdraw with less than 1 day notice, I ask that you honor the payment responsibility for the meeting. It may also be possible to accept fee from third party services or for you to be paid back by a third party for your sessions. I am a member of the Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oregon, Aetna and Lifewise provider panels, and I am capable of working with customers on Medicare. I can bill some other insurances "out-of-network." I'm also able to provide clinical supervision for both social work and counseling interns in Oregon.

About

I believe that people are generally capable of overcoming obstacles in their lives, but sometimes they need help with finding the right tools. I provide hope, encouragement, insight, and guidance so that my clients can find their path to happiness. My goal for clients is to help them become more effective, insightful, self-confident, and successful at overcoming future hurdles in their own lives and in their relationships. I am passionate about relationships. I learned a great deal from Les & Leslie Parrott, experts at SPU, and I hope to impact the world by starting in the home. I also care deeply about those impacted by trauma (abuse, violence, etc.), and am trained to help heal these wounds. I am a creative and energetic problem-solver, and I bring a warm environment to my practice. I often use humor in sessions to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for exploration and growth.

About

As a therapist, my enjoyment and strength is working with couples and individuals facing hardships in their journey to become parents. When faced with dealing with a major loss, making a hard decision or embarking on new parenting options, I strongly believe emotional support and a safe place to explore and express one's feelings can assist individuals in moving forward to a positive resolution in this difficult time. Together, I work with you to eliminate the obstacles and to illuminate, which may be keeping you from attaining the goals you are working toward. My therapeutic style is customized to meet the needs of each individual, creating a safe environment for the individual to explore one's feelings, release one's voice, and ultimately, define one's existence. I am influenced by cognitive and humanistic behavioral therapy, and I delight in exploring how today's feelings are a part of yesterday's experiences. I am clinically trained at Harvard Medical School (Benson-Henry Institute) in mind-body medicine and stress physiology. I am dedicated to help women ease the physical symptoms of stress associated with pregnancy complications and infertility. I provide support groups for infertility, grief recovery and adoption. Groups can make you feel less isolated, validate your emotional response and empower you with knowledge. Whether one selects couples, individual, and/or a support group, I promise not to limit one's voice or inhibit the experience.

About

Each individual has a potential to heal when therapy is carefully tailored to his or her unique needs. Counseling approaches such as solution focused, hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioral, and emotionally focused treatments are a few that I use to ensure carefully crafted counseling.

About

Change your life with hypnotherapy, biofeedback, NLP, and dream-work analysis! I like to do a combination of different methods in order to achieve the results. My clients also have the option to have their profile entered into a software program (Harmonic Energy Balancing) that runs customized affirmations and pictures 24/7, to bring about their goals faster and negate any adverse conditions. This product can be used for clearing energy in a home or use on animals for nervous energies. I charge $60/session/hour, and the first session is usually 90 minutes, with a free half-hour consultation.
