Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I work with individuals and couples (in diverse configurations and styles of commitment: married, partnered, same-sex, living together, living separately, monogamous, polyamorous, etc.). My specialities are applied mindfulness, parenting issues, gender issues, anxiety, internet addiction, sex addiction, reviving intimacy in relationships, infidelity, depression, life transitions, grief and relationships. I have three main approaches to therapy: 1. Mindfulness: is a particular state of mind or vulnerability that allows us to have reactions and responses without judgment or self-criticism so that we may study ourselves and understand why we do the things we do. 2. Somatic Experience: By acknowledging and listening to our somatic or bodily experience we can often access certain beliefs and memories that may not otherwise be accessible. 3. Experiential Techniques: are small experiments or exercises that we create together usually in session to evoke a certain response so that it can be studied to reveal beliefs we have about ourselves and our relationship to the world around us. Hakomi is an intricate therapeutic method of self-discovery which helps people transform their way of being in the world through working with core material and changing core beliefs. What I love most about my job is the privilege clients offer me to be a part of their lives and to play a significant role in very intimate processes that they experience. I care deeply for each of my clients. There is nothing about this job that is self-sacrificing, it fulfills me just as much as my work with clients fulfills them.

Jennifer came highly recommended to me and she lived up to every expectation. Deeply grounded, thoughtful, a wise and insightful counselor. I have already recommended her to several others.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I help clients navigate life's challenges and I also assist clients who are seeking change and ways to improve their relationships or implement change. I teach and utilize applied mindfulness with clients. Mindfulness is a technique that assists in self-observation without judgment or creating stories about the observations. It is a great tool to self insight and effective change.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Your relationship with your therapist is the most important element for success in therapy. Seek out a therapist that you feel comfortable with, someone who you feel really hears you and seeks to understand you. If after meeting with someone for a couple of sessions you don't feel a connection, then seek a therapist that you can connect with.
