FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common service that I provide is the "Loose Ends Coordination" Package which is day of coordination plus additional support during the month leading up to the wedding. The planning is up to my clients but I am there the last month to help troubleshoot as well as to coordinate with your wedding party and your venue and vendors leading up to the day. Lastly I coordinate and manage the rehearsal and the wedding itself. Additional details available on my website.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Write down all your questions before your initial meeting. Ask about your potential planner how many weddings they will be doing the month of your wedding and make sure they are not overbooked. Ask about contingency plans and ask if they can provide a list of their emergency items. Do not commit to hiring a planner without first reviewing their contract and asking your questions about the contract. It is not a good sign when your planner wants you to sign a contract the same day as your first consultation.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I really wish that brides in particular understood how taxing it really is to coordinate a wedding. The reason being is that couples often drastically underestimate that scope of the wedding until it's too late and end up spending more time worrying about the details of the "event" than actually enjoying the important and time in their lives. If you have extra time and creativity to plan your own wedding I encourage you to hire a day of coordinator. Your wedding day goes by faster than you think and you should savor every moment.
