Dr. Wendy Huang is an expert in children’s and teen piano education, with degrees in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and current doctoral studies in Music Education at Liberty University.
Wendy has served on the faculty of pre-college piano programs at Harper College, Columbia College Chicago, and North Central College, bringing professional-level pedagogical expertise to every lesson.
Her teaching combines ergonomic piano technique, individualized learning psychology, and artistic development to help students make remarkable progress in a short period of time. In her experience, students may progress 4–5× faster than in conventional academy settings, with noticeable development from Week 1 through Week 8.
The goal goes beyond learning pieces. Wendy helps children develop confidence, creativity, independence, and their own unique artistic voice. These are skills that can become part of who they are—not simply skills they use during piano lessons.
The ultimate goal is for students to carry that confidence and creativity with them for life, even after their formal piano lessons with Wendy have ended. Whether they continue professionally, pursue music in college, or simply carry music with them into adulthood, the foundation they develop can continue to shape how they express themselves, think creatively, and approach new challenges.

As an international music festival organizer, Wendy has connections with a broad network of musicians, educators, performers, festivals, and other resources within the music field. For teen students interested in pursuing music seriously, these connections can provide valuable exposure and guidance for performance development, college preparation, and the development of a professional identity as a young musical artist.
