Eva is a wonderful, caring person, her Facials and Massages are the BEST! Eva is also a great Yoga instructor and works with those of us who are new to Yoga! Jody
As a professional dancer I am always a bit leary of taking Mass movement classes of any kind. I was lucky enough to take yoga classes with Mark Staley when he was teaching in the studio in Shadyside. He is a warm, generous teacher - clearly creating a professional but yet open environment that was supportive for the very diverse level of Yoga Practitioners that were in the class. Providing clear direction and inspiration as well as group and individual comments. His sense of concern, passion, and physical understanding was evident from the very beginning through to the end of each class.
Tammy is an excellent yoga instructor who made me feel very comfortable even though I had no previous yoga experience and was somewhat out of shape. She is very knowledgeable of the yoga poses and teaches in a way that builds confidence and promotes total peacefulness and relaxation. She is very patient and soft spoken, which further enhanced my yoga experience.
Joanne has trained me for quite awhile now, she is professional, dedicated and caring! She is so flexible with her training, she knows all forms of exercise, including yoga and she is such a great teacher. You can't find anyone better, in my opinion! Love her.
Yoga is a gateway to good health. Health Thru Yoga has taught me that I am my body, mind, spirit, and breath, and that health is a lifelong practice. I have learned how to care for myself as I change and grow and I feel better equipped to make life-enhancing choices. My yoga classes with Lesli are excellent, enjoyable, and a tremendous opportunity for learning. She is a creative, caring, and deeply committed teacher. After 10 years, my enthusiasm for yoga is unlimited and renewed every time I attend class.
I believe that yoga finds us in different ways. Yoga teachers like myself often ask: What brought you to the mat? Stress brought me to the mat. Wanting to touch his toes brought that guy to his mat. Back pain brought my mom to the mat. A broken heart brought one student to her mat. Curiosity brought my best friend to hers. The list is endless -- depression, weight management, escape, challenge, ambition, community. What gets you there is hardly my concern. What happens when you get there is. Do you want to just give yoga a try, but not sure you want to face a yoga studio and its regular yogis? Book a private session or two with me. A one-on-one lesson is also great if you are recovering from injury, looking to deepen your home practice, or have specific questions. Do you want to add yoga to your workplace or host a class in a special environment? Book a group class or series. This can be anything from a bachelorette party yoga party to a four-week yoga series for your employees. Do you want to add yoga as a treatment modality for survivors of traumatic brain injury and PTSD? Book a specialized yoga series with me. We can set up classes at your support group or rehabilitation facility. A yoga practice, setup for the specific individual/s, taking into consideration their individual capabilities, can make a notable positive difference in the quality of life for survivors and their caretakers.

I integrate simple yoga movements with chakra healing by using stones on the chakra centers on the body with meditation and breathing exercises, too. I am not a licensed yoga practitioner but have been practicing yoga/hot yoga all my life (since high school and I'm almost 50 years old now). I am "hands off" and have learned through my own life how to balance chakras in order to balance emotions and get a good workout in the process.
As an integrative yoga therapist I use restorative yoga postures, aromatherapy, Reiki, nutritional support techniques and contemplative care strategies to address pain, anxiety, nausea, insomnia, constipation, and exhaustion.
I am a yoga instructor. I can teach Vinyasa, flow, fitness yoga and Bikram yoga. I specialize in alignment and finding modifications for every body.
I will customize your workout. I am familiar with sports injuries. I do one-on-one instruction vinyasa flow yoga.
Private or group yoga, meditation, and/or breathwork classes are taught in your home/office or at The Yoma Room studio to help balance your mind, body, and spirit. Lisa began her yoga journey as a child in elementary school where her physical education included yoga postures and sequences for children. Having studied the philosophy for many years in 2005, she took a 14-month teacher certification course from the Temple of Kriya Yoga out of Chicago. Her studies included all eight limbs of yoga with a focus on pranayama (breathing), asana (poses), and dhyana (meditation). In the beginning of 2012, she furthered her Kriya Yoga studies with a two-year advanced program through the Temple. She studied world religions and spirituality, astrology, meditative prayer, meditations, pranayama, karma studies, and mantra as well as many more subjects in this genre. Lisa's hatha yoga style has a strong emphasis on alignment and focusing inward. She spends time setting up and working each pose as well as working with props if needed. Her style is more in the Iyengar way with a focus on alignments. She teaches students of all levels and also leads meditations. You may also contact Lisa Williams by email or through The Yoma Room yoga studio for private classes or possible workshop ideas.
