When I think about why Phil is successful with his clients and his client find success with him it's because he is INVESTED. Phil is invested in his clients - understanding their needs, from the ones just starting off and the ones who are athletes and need to be pushed. He is invested in his craft - keeping up with the new techniques, exercises thus giving him the ability to tailor his sessions to his clients. Invested in nutrition - vast understanding on what will fuel your body and shares this with his clients. I have been an athlete my entire life, sometimes in better shape then others - the single thing that made the difference in my success with my coaches/trainers is their ability to connect and invest in me. When you have someone that believes in you it gives you the motivation to invest in yourself. I highly recommend Phil as a personal trainer or taking part in one of his boot camps. It's a fun, motivating, non-intimidating environment where you can take yourself to the next level!

I am in my mid 40's, in good health and ex runner which included marathons. I stopped running about 8 years ago and quickly gained 30 pounds. In January 2013 I went to Medi Weight Loss Clinic and in 6 months was back to my running weight of 175 pounds. I stayed there for over a year but felt like a needed to supplement my eating change and decided in the summer of 2014 to get back in the gym and work with weights again to try to retain some of the muscle I have as well as build total body lean muscle. I have some physical injuries from years of sports that limit my range of motion and in the past I was unsuccessful working out on my own and always ended up injuring myself worse. I also travel quite a bit for work so maximizing my time in the gym is paramount for me. I thought the best way for me to accomplish my goals and prevent further injury was to work with a professional trainer. I have been working with Doug for 5 months now. I am very pleased with the results. Aside from the quantitative body fat % drop and looking and feeling better, I have prevented injuring myself. I am the same weight but my body fat % has dropped 6 points and been replaced by lean muscle. I also follow a healthy diet that is low carb but have found a good balance to leverage the gym effort. Doug is adept at recognizing your weaknesses and incorporates specific routines to strengthen all the smaller muscles around your joints that supports and enables improvement for all the mainstream exercises. I now workout at least 5 days a week and continue to get stronger. I look forward to benchmarking my progress at 1 year. Do yourself a favor, invest in yourself by hiring Doug. You wont regret it.

I have a couple of degrees and a decent job, but I didn’t feel like I was having the success in my career that I thought I should. I felt like I kept doing things that got in the way of doing better. I am a fairly stubborn person, so of course I thought I could solve my problems myself. The problem with that thinking is that unless you understand why you are having issues, you will continue to keep going down the same road. I had heard about life coaches and thought I would give it a try. The first couple of coaches I tried weren’t a good fit for me. I didn’t really feel comfortable working with them because they didn’t actually get to know me to understand what was going on with me. Then I met Dancer for Life. I knew right away I had met the right coach! She had a way of making me feel comfortable and helped me begin to recognize some of issues I was facing. I am a little defensive at times (well, maybe a lot defensive), but Beth was able to talk with me in a way that I could be really honest with her and myself. That was a very important beginning! From there we worked together to develop a plan that would help me with my problems in my career. I think the collaborative approach was the key, because if she had given me a “one-size-fits-all” plan, it wouldn’t have worked for me. I came to grips with the fact that I was really bad with procrastination. I also had difficulty taking constructive criticism, which was incredibly important to resolve if I was ever going to advance in my career. There were some setbacks here and there, but Beth worked with me through it all and equipped me with the tools and skills to get back on track and make big improvements in my life. Today, I am in a much better spot and am having great success in my career. I’ve even gotten two promotions! More importantly, the skills that Beth helped me developed have even assisted me in other areas of my life. I am so glad I reached out to Dancer for Life and am proud to feel like I am one of her successes. JOY AND SUCCESS WITHOUT FRUSTRATION? Never thought I could have access to the positive vibrations of life. I was always trying to seek and force my desires in a self discouraging, self defeating manner. Now Life Coaching has shown me I "do" have access in the present and can allow things to materialize in the way they are intended. Simply put "Looking forward to all that is to come and easing into all of it, knowing that the journey is why I came here." As before I would feel I have something pressing to do and would be WASTING TIME even here writing this. What a relief...TIME,...We can not have any more of it, or any less of it. Anyone looking for a personal trainer without the intimidation of a personal trainer should try out Mike. He really knows his stuff and can adapt his workouts to you. He also has done his research. Over a year ago, he visited the strength and conditioning coaches and trainers of a local professional football team to gain more insight. Great guy!

I strongly recommend Josh as a personal trainer if you are looking to push yourself to the limit. He is a well rounded fitness coach with knowledge about diet and exercise. He's flexible and models workouts specifically for me and my needs. I found Lisa through her website after quite a bit of searching. I knew what I wanted to accomplish; I just didn't know how to get it done. Nutritional advice, personal training, and motivation is what I was searching for and exactly what I found in Lisa! She is encouraging, upbeat, and always focused on my development. The workouts are fun, varied and always challenging. As I have made lifestyle changes toward being healthier - I feel that I have a true partner in Lisa. She has worked with me on so many different muscle groups and overall cardio fitness my health, body and spirit are all stronger. Each time we go through something new she demonstrates just what a strong and effective teacher she is both my modeling the exercise and patiently giving feedback until my form improves. She is such a strong teacher that many of the exercises she has taught me I now can do at home. Lisa has a variety of videos that she has available for those in-between work outs along with those times I can't make my twice weekly workouts. Simply put - a joy to work with and a complete health coach. I feel nothing less than grateful to have found her.

I started training with David over a year ago and since then I’ve made constant progress. I always know I can rely on him to answer any questions I have and my diet is always very easy to stick to with lots of variety. He’s one of the few coaches that practices what he preaches and the knowledge he passes on is tried and tested so I know I can trust everything I’m given. With his guidance I won my first gold medal in men’s physique which I couldn’t have done without his support. I would reccomend Dawid to anyone who is serious about transforming their physique or just looking to live a healthier, happier lifestyle!

I have known Isaak Gorelov for the last eight years. He served as Director of the Health, Wellness and Aquatics department of the YJCC of Bergen County located in Washington Township, New Jersey. He supervised all adult fitness related activities, including The Fitness Center, fitness classes, personal training, aquatics and the swim team. He served as my personal trainer twice a week during that time.I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness training, including an extensive variety of exercises for each muscle group and he was also able to alleviate certain weaknesses I had in specific body parts. He was a pleasure to work with because of his professionalism and positive attitude. He inspired me to exceed my expectations of fitness and make it seem fun. I have used personal trainers for the last 26 years and have found Isaak to be extremely competent at what he does. I have also seen him work with disabled clients and found him to be compassionate in dealing with their specific deficits. He is patient and encouraging in his handling of them.Isaak would be an asset to anyone using his services.

Calum is an awesome trainer. He is one of the only trainers I actually trust and feel confident working with---he has a strong background in strength training and programming, but is also constantly doing research and experimenting with programming to bring his clients' training to the next level. Not only is he extremely competent, but he is also a pleasure to work with-- he provides a solid balance of pushing you to work harder to reach the next goal or the next seemingly impossible weight or rep and also being an extremely nice guy who is easy to be around. He's a good fit for any athlete of any ability. He is the only trainer my mom, who is older and has a lot of mobility and health issues, will work with because he truly listens and responds to the client at hand and meets their needs. His programming has pushed her, and me, to our strongest. He is one of the rare trainers that puts his client's goals and accomplishments above his own ego. I can't recommend him enough for anyone looking for a either a personal or group trainer. He can make a work out out of literally any equipment so there are never any excuses!

I've been working with Mr. Ryan for personal training for approximately two years. When I first met Bill, I was significantly overweight and could barely get through walking 15 min on a treadmill. Mr. Ryan has been dedicated to helping me reach my health & fitness goals. When we first started working together, he assessed my strengths and weaknesses and created a specific program for me. He even took the time to review my food diary with me and to make nutrition recommendations. I've lost over 100 pounds since I started training with Bill and in the last year, I completed a 5k and a Spartan Race. Having never participated in sports, I never would have thought my body was capable of these things! But, Bill encouraged me to try them in the first place & trained me to be able to complete them. He continues to motivate me to keep up my progress & I'm signed up for another 5k and another obstacle race!

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians.
