Introduction: First off, because I have the most diverse and practical level of playing and teaching experience, which in turn has taught me the most important aspects necessary to play and teach any style in the quickest and most efficient way possible. I love drums and music! This passion translates into great enthusiasm and motivation for my students. I feel blessed to have a career as a professional musician and I really enjoy passing along the knowledge gathered in my years as a professional. I get a huge kick when students are doing well, reaching their goals, and having fun. It's great to be able to contribute in this way.

Very knowledgeble. Amazing on drums. Patient teacher and nice person. I've only had 2 lessons but I can already play along to the beat of my favorite songs. Very good at teaching tricks to learn as quickly and well as possible. Thanks Ed!

Our son Adam started taking drum lessons about 5 years ago. He was lukewarm about the drums and his drum teacher and it was a struggle to get Adam to go to his lessons. Adam considered abandoning the drums and I persuaded him to switch teachers and see how he felt afterrible seeing the difference. We were lucky enough to find Ed who turned Adam around almost immediately. The reasons were enthusiasm, tailoring and just his affable nature. Adam started to play songs that he liked as opposed to what his former teacher prescribed. Now about 4 years later and Adam loves playing and barely ever misses a drum lesson. He likes Ed as a person too.

My son has been taking lessons with Ed since he was 5. Ed was very patient dealing with a high energy child who had a limited attention span. Eight years later, we are still seeing Ed weekly for lessons and my son has turned into a well-rounded musician. Ed tailors the lessons to my son's musical interests and takes an interest in what is going on in his life. We have gone to see Ed perform in several venues and he always takes the time to talk to us during his break. I highly recommend Drum Lessons with Ed for those at any skill level.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly playing in many kinds of bands and styles, working through books and videos in order to improve personally, and to be able to offer my students the best information possible. At some points practical experience can be the best education.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't...it chose me! All kidding aside, if you get to have your passion as your career, you've got the world's best job!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Teaching proper technique and preparation for anything and everything. I want students to have a broad knowledge base to make them comfortable with any situation they come upon. School bands, marching, jazz, college prep, playing in bands, or just for the pure joy of it!
