Mr. Slurzberg was a great math tutor for the sats. he was patient and helped me raise my math score 100 points.
Aaron was adaptable to scheduling and was there when we needed his help. I liked the feedback from Aaron from the lessons and would recommend him to any high level high school student, college, and working career professional.
LEAH IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I have a 19 year old son who needed extra help with Math, preparing for his ACT. Leah took the time in the beginning to find out how he learns and what style works best for him. This key!!! She is well prepared and takes her tutoring seriously. I can honestly say for the first time he comes home feeling confident about what he is learning he is not intimidated, not afraid to ask questions. First time learning Math without becoming frustrated. Highly recommend Leah, she is an excellent teacher, she is patient, soft spoken and really cares about what she is doing!! THANK YOU LEAH BERL!!!
Returned to college and had to re-take College Algebra. I mistakenly took a self guided course and was spending over 25 hours per week on the homework. I hired Allen to to tutor me and now only spend 1-2 hours outside of our lessons (I see him 1-2 times per week). He is EXCELLENT, patient, trustworthy and very good at helping me understand my assignments. I would have dropped the course if not for him. I would not hesitate in recommending his services!
Heather is very personable and puts kids at ease quickly. She knows the tests, the strategies for both reading and math and she is a great PSAT/SAT prep tutor.
Christina is knowledgeable in understanding the specific details of both the SAT and ACT tests. After meeting with my daughter for the first time Christina was able to do an assessment using components of both the SAT and ACT to help my daughter decide which test will better represent her knowledge. My daughter appreciated how kind and patient Chrisitina was during the tutoring time. My daughter was able to understand the information reviewed during the session and Christina developed a plan to assist her in preparing for the college entrance exam. Christina is timely in her response to emails and punctual and prepared for the tutoring sessions. Christina is professional, yet warm and friendly to both the student and parent. ~February 2018 ~Mother, Educator ~King of Prussia Pennsylvania
Michelle is an exceptional Tutor who has helped my son with Math on various occasions. Her approach is very personable, as she takes relatively difficult topic such as Math, and makes it fun and exciting for my son. As a result, I have seen a drastic improvement in his comprehension of the subject. Additionally, she has even taken the initiative to help him with other subjects in his class when there is time left over from her tutoring, and the Math homework is already complete. I strongly recommend Michelle to anyone who is in the market searching for a Tutor with the solid credentials.
Ms. Sandy was a great math tutor. She was able to help me understand the material.
Kevin is a very good math tutor! He's always very punctual and gives detailed explanations with Statistics and Precalculus.
Dr. Turner provided our son with high school math tutoring. Our son had a wonderful experience, he learned a lot and his math grade improved.
This tutoring service was phenomenal. My understanding of Math and Reading SAT problems increased exponentially and would recommend this service to anyone who is trying to achieve a near perfect, if not perfect, score.
Dana does it ALL. Any kind of student, at any level of ability or skill or motivation - she is great at quickly building a rapport with the student and establishing trust. From there she is able to deftly identify each student's strengths and needs, target her instruction in a highly personalized, dynamic way. Her instruction is extremely effective; she has multiple creative ways to explain concepts, and she's very good at pinpointing areas of confusion. Not only can she teach any kid, she can teach any level of high school math. She's also provides outstanding college test prep services. My son brought his SAT math score up 100 points after 5 one-hour sessions with Dana. Working with her is easy and pleasant; she's flexible, accommodating, friendly, professional and very understanding about the busy and unpredictable schedules of high school kids. She's also very caring; many times she has moved her schedule around to squeeze in an extra hour with my kid the night before an exam, or when he's just feeling overwhelmed. She's amazing, well worth every penny. In fact, I think she's a great bargain.
Mike was extremely helpful tutoring my daughter for her upcoming standardize exam. He was patience and was able to put her mind at ease. He was able to target her area of weakness and focus on those skills. When it came time for her to take the exam, she was more than prepared. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone who is looking for a math tutor!

Are you loving math yet? Let's work on that! I've been tutoring math for approximately 20 years. The youngest student has been about 7 and the oldest was 38. I help with algebra I and II, trigonometry and geometry, college algebra, pre-calc, predominantly. I've worked with kids in many different school districts over the years, and most of my assignments come as a result of referrals!
Hello, I'm Sam Zappala. I've been a math tutor since 1998. When I work with the students, if there's an easier way; I'll inform them. This is how I gain their respect. I teach algebra, geometry and trigonometry. I will also get into SI (metrics). When working with geometry and/or trigonometry, the first formulas I want them to remember are: a^2+b^2=c^2, for right triangles; and a/sin?=b/sin?=c/sin?, for all triangles. I've been working with numbers since I was a teenager. When I was putting myself through school, I was working in a warehouse. I would do the math in my head before somebody else could punch it into a calculator. I've got the ability; now I need to pass it on. I have an MD in Mechanical Engineering. Please see the resume. I also designed several tools. I am now attempting to get one on the market.
I teach 7-9 grade math at North Penn School District, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. I enjoy working with students of all ages and helping them succeed in math.
