FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the scope and complexity involved. To aid in accurate pricing a site visit is recommended, this is free of charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Talk through the condition of the wall/s and any preparation needed and discuss the type of wallcovering the client has chosen to be installed. Ascertain appropriate bonding agents (primer specific for a wallcovering which differs from paint primer, appropriate wallpaper adhesive) adhesives are sometimes detailed by the manufacturer. Assess the design of the covering to maximize balance/symmetry, and seam placement. Check that the bolts (rolls of wallcovering) correspond before hanging as different print runs will vary, if so, there could be a discrepancy with the ink and overall look.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified Residential Installation Specialist through the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA). A guild of wallpaper professionals that spans North America, and attend professional workshops throughout the year.
