  • Keys & Strings

    (12 reviews)

I am very patient and easy going with students. I challenge and push clients to practice and reach their goals, but I love to joke around with them, too. I enjoy getting to know my students and their families on a personal level to make lessons fun and to connect who they are with what they want out of playing music. I am as interested to teach them about my musical interests and knowledge as I am to learn about theirs. I love seeing students feel motivated to practice their instrument because they want to improve. All the motivation and time I put in to see that inner drive kick in is well worth it. I get excited when I see students light up in pride when they play and when they show how eager they are to learn more - another song, another style, another way to express themselves.

  • DoRayMi Lessons

    (12 reviews)

My service is individualized to meet the needs of my students. I want all students to have access to quality music education! My bachelor's is in voice performance from Westminster Choir College, which gave me the opportunity to work in some of the world's top venues and with the best choirs and conductors. I graduated summa cum laude. I also have a master's in music therapy so I am comfortable working with all ages and abilities and using my knowledge as a therapist to target lessons based upon each students developmental level and learning style. I am also comfortable with those students who have special needs. It is so important that students and parents can gauge their lesson progress! All lessons are recorded and sent to parents and students within 24 hours so that parents are never in question about their child's assignments and students can see how they are progressing from week to week. I believe in helping every step of the way to musical success! I find auditions and performances suited to my students' level. I prepare them to succeed and I even attend the performances to support them. We also have biannual recitals and master's classes for more advanced students. I want to build a community of musicians among students and parents! So I will talk with parents after lessons, keeping them updated on their child's progress. We also have student showcases, where each month a new student is featured on my website and student shout out - where news of student successes are featured on the website as well. All my students also recieve a monthly newsletter which keeps them abreast of any changes, holidays, recitals and new experiences available for students. For those parents with toddlers, I also host a weekly mommy and me music class. My goal is to deliver lessons that are high quality, student focused and go above and beyond the weekly lesson time! I extremely passionate about my job, I work every day of the week but I couldn't be happier! I always say I am one of the few lucky people who loves what I do and is happy to go to work every day. Seeing my students grow and being involved in that process never gets old. Helping someone else to succeed and kindle their passion for music is a great feeling. I also love when I have all students together at recitals and I get to see them support and cheer each other on. Creating that musical community is a great feeling too.

Professional and personalized instruction with complete dedication to student's progress. Starting to learn to play by ear/without printed music initially is a goal. • Music Educational Project

    Naftali Lahav

I am a guitar teacher, composer, and the developer of The New Music Educational project. The New Music Educational Project is a series of original programs that give a broad instrumental music experience for schools, summer camps, and music courses. Each student will construct and decorate a personal one-stringed guitar or three-stringed ancient harp out of modular wooden pieces. The sound of the guitar is crystal clear, deep, and loud. During the construction process, each student grows very attached to his personal guitar. This bond actually is the main reason for the students to wish to continue through the following stages of this program. Other advantages this program offers: 1. Full music program with low costs 2. Schools' orchestra for special occasions 3. Communication skills through music 4. Great help for the parents: * No expensive instruments * No private lessons costs * No music purchasing and kids back and forth For grades 4 to 9 accordingly, we have it all built in the program!
