Jessica has been amazing for me. First off, she has a very pleasant personality---which is always helpful. I contacted Jessica because I have sleep apnea and read that singing lessons could be helpful in building up the throat muscles and developing better breathing. I have also wanted to take voice lessons so it was two birds with one stone for me. I have been taking weekly lessons for about a month now and am already seeing improvement in both my voice and, more importantly, in my sleep quality. Jessica has gone the extra mile for me in finding voice exercises which will assist in my apnea. She has been doing some online researches and has even ordered a book on the subject. She is fun to work with and it is obvious that this is less about money than it is about her passion for music. Her rates are extremely reasonable and she is generous with her time. I look forward to many more lessons with her and cannot recommend her highly enough. Jessica is a true professional. If you have ever thought about voice lessons you cannot go wrong giving her a call.
I'm in my 80s and am taking jazz lessons from Joyce. She is a friend as well as a teacher. She shares her enthusiasm for music and teaches not just about playing the piano but also about the composers and the ways of personalizing my playing. Taking lessons from her has been a wonderful experience for me. I would recommend her to all age groups as she is so attuned to each person she is teaching. She's a special person.
I have been taking guitar lessons with David since 2010. He's a remarkable instructor. He covers everything from technique to songwriting to theory to you name it. I've learned a great deal from him and it has been fun. You'll have a blast too!
I have only positive things to say about the lessons I've had with Eden. She is thoroughly knowledgeable about music, with a special focus on all the technical aspects of singing. Beyond that, she's personable, fun, and an expert motivator. If you're looking to get better at singing, you should really go to Eden.
I had my first lesson with Barbara this week, and it was better than I could have imagined! I've played flute for many years, but I've always wanted to develop my voice. I've never taken vocal lessons, so I was nervous about singing in front of a stranger. Barbara made the whole experience fun and informative. She's patient and has an amazing ear for detecting which notes are difficult or slightly off for me. I learned a lot about myself and my abilities in just one session. I'm so happy I came across Barbara's services and am excited to continue developing my voice.
My son has taken piano lessons with Rachel for about a year. He had never played the piano before and Rachel made the lessons fun while still so productive. He has learned so much in the past year and really enjoys playing the piano now. From our first meeting Rachel has been professional and kind and has a great way with kids. I would recommend her to anyone interested in quality piano lessons in a stress free environment where your child can really thrive.
I took lessons from Alex for over a year and really loved how she taught me!
Samantha was a voice coach referenced to me by several different people. I couldn't have been happier with my decision. I have never connected so nicely with any type of teacher let alone musician. I am blown away by her talent and teaching methods. I have learned many many things and she was always helpful in breaking down every method. I have only gone to Samantha a handful of times and I already see a change in my voice and the health of it. She is a professional and I will continue lessons with her. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in training for a performance or even to overall better their voice.
I have been taking vocal lessons with Larry Keith for about 10 years. When I started taking from Larry, I don't think I would have even sung for my mom if she asked but I knew it was something I loved to do and found release in. Since beginning my lessons with Larry I have developed not only as a vocalist but as an artist-- Training with Larry Keith over the years has strengthened my voice and staminaand my knowledge of the body as an instrument. Learning the fundamentals of singing correctly has raised my confidence and motivated me to keep my body and voice in top condition. I feel I have truly been blessed to have the opportunity to study with Larry Keith for so many years. His knowledge of the instrument and conveyance of truth is truly inspiring to me, as an artist and human being.
As a young woman I studied voice as I dreamed of one day singing at The Met. My teacher encouraged me to go to New York, but a trepidation of being on stage and a career kept me in Boston. After quitting my job I was looking for something fun to do and my son encouraged me to sing again and recommended lessons with his teacher. Gabe is great. As an older student I truly appreciate his ear, his attention to even the smallest details of my voice and his amazing ability to help me to bring out the richer qualities of my voice. He has also built my confidence and I finally sang before an audience. If only I’d known him in the 80s who knows what might have happened because at Wednesday lessons I feel like I could fly.
I highly recommend Courtney. She will make you feel comfortable from the get-go. She has everything I look for in a teacher. She's a great listener. She also has a gift when it comes to explaining the science behind the voice. I adore my voice lessons with her. She's helped me to improve my voice, and also has helped me gain confidence when I sing.
Tim did a great job taking me from someone who had rarely sung to someone who then became very comfortable singing along with my part time profession of playing piano and keyboard. I was happy with my progress after working with Tim and him giving me the necessary coaching I needed.
Joyce is a lovely person whose knowledge of music is profound. We always have a great time a my lessons and I learn a lot.
Kari is an accomplished musician with a passion for "teaching" music. As a child I wanted to take piano lessons, but never had the opportunity. Now as a senior with some physical limitations, Kari is teaching me to play the piano. She is a very caring person and wants all of her students to succeed. I am having fun! "You are never too old to learn."
Being a professional drummer I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing vocalists. When I decided that I wanted to up my game and start taking voice lessons there was only one choice for me. Jeremy is a consummate professional on and off the stage. He REALLY knows how to sing, and best of all he understands how to communicate his knowledge about singing with others. In a very short time he was able to solidify a foundational approach to singing that will last me for the rest of my life. His knowledge and ability to perform literally ANY style of music from Rock to Opera makes him a well rounded instructor. Jeremy has patience and is willing to work on what YOU want to achieve. He has helped me improve tremendously and I look forward to continuing my study. I highly recommend Jeremy to help anyone develop their vocal ability.
If you ever wanted to learn more about what your voice can do, meet Jackie. I went from being too shy to sing audibly to discovering the pure joy of singing in one lesson. She is professional, kind, fun and a master of her craft. Jackie makes your voice lesson a very customized experience.
Juliana taught me piano over the summer and I learned so much from her! Not only is she one of the most talented musicians I know, but she is also very patient, understanding, and able to accommodate her students' individual needs!
