I had already taken the Manhattan GMAT class and did not improve. Then I had heard of Arbor Tutors through a friend and I contacted them. They help assess my gaps and arrange a game plan so that I could be more effective the next time I took it and I did raise my score more than 200 points! I'm very happy. Arbor Tutors is a fantastic company!

Oliver tutored me for my Statistics exam among other Math related courses. I struggled with math all of my academic life and Oliver was well aware of my fears and weaknesses with math in general. He was able to accommodate his teaching style to my needs. I would not have passed otherwise. Oliver is very kind, hard working, smart and reliable. I owe him a lot of credit for helping me get through my courses in math!

I was having issues with the fundamentals of calculus and in one extensive session Michael helped me grasp derivatives and integrals from start to finish of the scope of most college calc I classes. Michael was dedicated to making sure I understood what was going on by asking questions, which helped us focus on what I needed to strengthen more. He understand the subject matter and can teach it well, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is struggling.

I met John using thumbtack and I received his Resume and spoke to him on the phone. My daughter was in serious need of help in math and it was behind a couple years with some things! She never received a higher grade then a 70 something on any of her math test. We met with John during the summer, once a week, she returned to school and received the highest grade in the class On her first test, I couldn't be more pleased with John! My daughter adores John and he's extremely easy for her to talk to and answers any of her questions through email!! He's very reliable and prompt and I can guarantee your child will succeed tremendously with his help!! Thanks John

I was really worried about taking the SAT until I discovered PrepScholar. I knew that group classes wouldn't give me the individualized approach that I needed, and I couldn't study alone because I lacked motivation. PrepScholar allowed me to pinpoint the areas I needed to study most and created a specific lesson plan just for me based on my strengths and weaknesses. The progress I made with each lesson motivated me to complete more of my lessons as often as possible. I improved by over 200 points, and I'm really happy with my SAT score. I know I couldn't have done it without PrepScholar.

Back in High school I was having a lot of trouble understanding Algebra and Geometry. Apratim tutored me for 2 years. He got me to work hard and helped me every step of the way. He not only helped me get through those two classes but also taught me the importance of working hard. He's a great tutor.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge” (Albert Einstein). From the day one, our son enjoyed each and every Glenn’s class and used to look forward to meet him again and diligently did his homework for the next lesson, which was such a surprise from a 10-year-old boy who used to give reasons for not overloading his pretty tough after-school activities’ schedule with another tutoring. We extremely appreciate the innovative joyful and thought-provoking approach by which Glenn helped Alex not only in getting improved his English writing skills and test scores, but also in tremendously enriching his vocabulary, comprehending complex conceptions and ideas through discussion and developing Alex’s critical and analytical thinking. We want to express our sincere gratitude for all the wonderful work Glenn has done and looking forward to continue Glenn’s classes for the following academic years. Alex and Olga

Hey-Sung has worked two of my children navigate upper level middle school and high school math classes. She has provided consistent guidance and positive support for both boys. She has made herself available for extra sessions and has helped "on the fly" online or by reviewing "snapshots" by cell phone of problems that they are having trouble with. When transportation and timing have been an issue, she has worked with my older son by skype. Hey-Sung really takes an interest in how they are doing and wants to help them succeed. Perhaps as invested in how they are doing as they are.

PrepScholar is an amazing GRE prep program. It customizes to your strengths and weaknesses to focus your prep on your weak points. I took the GRE once before and studied but didn't get the score that I wanted, so I really wanted the best shot at getting my target score. I did consider Kaplan and Manhattan classes, but I saw there wasn't much personal interaction and the teachers mostly taught out of books. PrepScholar is really convenient to study online, it has a ton of practice questions and lessons, and it helps me stay on track for my test date. No regrets, highly highly recommend it.

Jimmy is a fantastic tutor. He informed himself about the Australian Curriculum and was prepared for my year 5 and year 11 kids from the first day on. He explained the tasks thoroughly and always had examples referencing to music. This created an easy tool for my musician son to understand math and enjoy the teaching. Thanks to Jimmy both kids are up-to-date with their math school work after 8 weeks out of school. Jimmy is kind but also focused on the outcome. Great experience

Ronnie is a very patient organic chemistry tutor. He provided many supplementary practice problems as they lined up with the curriculum. Besides from being a great tutor, he is also a great mentor and friend. He gave me much-needed guidance and advice as I considered my career path, and was always there to support me.

Carissa was fantastic. I am just starting back after over a decade of not being in school. Needless to say, I was terrified that I would not pass my ‘Fundamental Mathematics’’ class. I hired her to help me weekly. She was very patient and was able to take the information I needed to learn and form it in a way that was not only easy for me to remember but to actually understand. She was very invested in my success and I felt she was there every step of the way. I have now passed my 93 math course and am moving on to the 97 portion. I will definitely being reaching out to her again. She was always punctual and upbeat and never frustrated with me. I would highly recommend her!

Alicia is humble, professional, punctual, flexible and speaks with our son on his level, to make geometry understandable. She cares about his success and has already stayed late with him twice, and doesn't rush to leave when the hour is up. If he needs more time, she stays and she doesn't make mention of it. The first thing she did when we met, was like a gap assessment, to see what he understood, how he likes to learn (visual) and where he was with respect to terminology. In three weeks, Alicia has helped our son turn around his failing average grade of a 59 to a passing grade of 74 for the quarter, not an easy feat. His HW assignments since AA(After Alicia) have been 100, 95, 100 and test scores have been 77, 80 and a 92 - Wish we found her in August!!! Just yesterday, I got a text from Ryan during school that he just got his grade back on his geometry test and he couldn't wait to tell me he got the third highest grade on the test in the class, with that 92!! Feels like he is going to make it out of the woods and we are keeping Alicia on for the rest of this year and beyond I am sure! Its been hard work, hw assignments from her, making and STUDYING flash cards and practice using the formulas/proofs, but NOTHING feels better than giving your child the tools/help they need to succeed on their own - what a confidence builder!!! MATH is a LANGUAGE and she speaks with perfect grammar and fluency. She won't tell you outright, but if you ask during your interview process, you will find a pedigree for mathematics and a love for education. She attended Harvard Graduate School and her daughters were both accepted to MIT. If you need a reference for Alicia, I would be happy to provide one for her!!

My experience with Jim was very positive. He was very aware of my daughters needs and sensitive in providing a class schedule that was practicable for my daughter and his instructors. He is very flexible and is an amazing scheduler. I cannot argue the results. We are proud of our daughter and very thankful to Jim and his team of very capable instructors.

I've been out of college for nearly ten years, out of basic math/algebra for...lets just say...longer than that. With my recent decision to go back to school to become an RN, I had to take a math placement test. This worried me because I am notoriously bad at math, and had to take several remedial courses my first time around in college. This time, I was determined to avoid that, I did not want to spend extra time or money on math classes that I wouldn't enjoy! I went from knowing nothing to knowing everything I would need to test into the math requirement for my nursing program, and I couldn't have done it without Erika! (Seriously, every damn question on that test I thought to myself, THANK GOD FOR ERIKA). I had three valuable tutoring sessions with her. She is calm, easy-going, and fun to talk to (someone who I have fun talking about math with, what?!). At the same time she is concise, to the point, and encourages you to solve problems until she can tell that you are really "getting it." If I need further tutoring in math or science during my program, I have every intention of reaching out to Erika, and I would recommend her to anyone!
