FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our first session, we talk about what your fitness goal is, and focus on fundamental movement patterns that will help you perform exercises correctly. In the following sessions, we'll build a strength and movement base to get your comfortable with the types of movements we make in activities of everyday life. From there, we build on the foundation to increase strength and endurance, and help you work toward your goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! I recently became a qualified Pilates Mat instructor, and am currently studying orthopedic recovery training in order to help those who have finished occupational or physical therapy and want to regain their fitness.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I lost 45 pounds in a little over a year through exercise and making better food choices. Because my friends and family always ask me for help, I became a Certified Personal Trainer so I can use the correct training methods and tools to help the ones I love make these same changes. It hurts me to see people struggle with obesity and the related problems that come with it. Because of my personal experience, I firmly believe physical fitness and healthy living is a way of life that can benefit everyone!
