FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I have excellent pricing which is per square foot of home. I also provide new home inspections which is typically less expensive. If you are interested in selling your home, I will make sure I find any potential problems so you are confident when selling. I do not charge extra for garages, attached or detached or porch areas and many inspectors do.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would guide you through the process of a home inspection every step of the way. I am very detailed, organized and my reports are easy to read and comprehensive. I include the garage and all porch areas as part of the inspection. I take pictures and use a moisture meter or infrared camera and we can check all areas of the house as well as rugs if water intrusion is suspected.I am extremely thorough. I will go over everything in person and then send a detailed report with pictures that you can forward to the seller to ask for repairs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am ASHI certified and licensed by the State of South Carolina as well as Licensed by all counties in the area. The reason I am licensed by all counties is so that I can do BRAND NEW CONSTRUCTION. County licenses, 1M insurance policies as well as Worker's comp are required for home inspectors by most construction companies. I am a college graduate with a degree in Environmental Health. I have 15 years as Director of Safety and I have a background working construction.
