- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first steps are very important to me: 1) consultation- talk in depth about goals, history, anything of importance. 2) fitness evaluation - I do an in depth evaluation to analyze how your body functions. It's designed to see your physical ability, joint range of motion, flexibility, and cardiovascular capability. This evaluation + your goals will help me design a program for you!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at The University of South Dakota I have: Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and Sports Science. I also have minors in coaching & health science.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in Tea, SD. As a kid I participated in several sports, my favorite being Track & Field. My passion for the sport led into much more than I expected. I was recruited to run Track at USD where I was a successful decathlete (10 events) & 400M Hurdler. Being a collegiate athlete and training under multiple event coaches fueled my passion to become a trainer.
