We have had an excellent experience with Chrissa as our son's voice teacher. He loves going to his lessons and has become more confident about his singing. I would highly recommend Chrissa!
Working with Robin D has helped me grow as an actor. We've been working together sense 2012 and I wouldn't of had the opportunity to work on the projects I have without his direction and insight as an acting instructor! Your a rockstar dude! - Maxfield Camp
Janine has been super helpful. I cannot explain how much I've grown as a vocalist with her coaching my steps toward accomplishing my specific goals, as well as showing me new things about my voice that have made me a more well-rounded singer. Definitely take lessons with her, you won't regret it!
Such a wonderful teacher. Professional, smart, motivating, understanding. Such knowledge about so many different aspects of the acting world, and not afraid to share it all with you while teaching. Tamara is worth every penny and more.
Carrie is a patient, talented vocal coach who brings out the best in her students. I had virtually no singing experience (aside from the occasional car ride or shower) prior to our lessons. She worked with me to find the range and vocal part that best suited me, while helping build my confidence. I've also seen Carrie perform live and was extremely impressed by the way she commands a room and communicates with her band members. All star voice teacher and all around performer!
We are a full service acting studio for ages 4-18.
Hollie has been offering private voice, dance, acting, modeling, and public speaking lessons for over 10 years. Her most recent studio in Dallas boasted more than 50 students at one time of all ages. Along with my music instruction profile here, I am also a acting coach. It is my ultimate favorite. I am great at getting people of all ages find the part of them that lets them be the person they are trying to tap into authentically. I work directing and writing children's theater, as well as a television show right in the Nashville area. Check out my site. I've been doing this work for quite a number of years now, and I've had a lot of success helping students get work, get confidence or just to the next level!
I offer instruction in singing which incorporates principles of the Alexander Technique and the pedagogy of Manuel Garcia.
Your voice is an instrument housed in your body with other functioning parts that allow you to sing with excellence when shown how .I can show you how all theses other body parts even your stance can improve your sound tone and volume.
Many teachers seem to make singing a complicated and sophisticated thing. I believe that our bodies are built to sing and project the voice, and that there could be nothing more basic to us than making what I call "singing sounds." The first thing a baby does when he or she is born is to take a big deep breath and cry - that's a singing sound! We then spend the next 18 years being told to "be quiet"... we have to get back to that basic singing sound that we do involuntarily. My teaching focuses on the many things that affect how we breathe - how we take in the air and how we let it out again. My teaching focuses on listening to the body and letting it speak for itself.
Music, voice and acting lessons are by Susan Manning --experienced in all styles of vocal music, music theory and theater. Vocal lessons available are the following: * Classical This style will focus on "the classics" (English or foreign language) as well as help prepare for Arts School auditions which require selections from Classical repertoire. * Pop/Country This style will focus on current and/or past repertoire of both or a combination of country and pop music. It will also help prepare for music auditions and talent shows. * Broadway/Theater This style will focus on any Broadway-style songs. It will concentrate heavily on breathing and voice control. It will also help prepare for live theater auditions. Policies, schedule, and fees: At the present time, students will only be offered per lesson fees for each month. Students may pay lesson fees at the time of their scheduled lesson. Fees are $35 for one hour and $20 for a half hour. Hours of studio are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. The minimum amount of lessons a student may take will be one month (for example, every Tuesday in the month of February at 4:30 pm, if available.) Students must be currently 13 years or older for voice lessons. All lessons will be given at the Center for the Arts. Attendance is required unless 24 hour notice is given for cancellation. A "makeup" lesson will be attempted prior to the next scheduled lesson. After 2 cancellations in a row, a student may be dropped from the schedule. If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance, a makeup lesson will not be provided. Exception: Students are allowed to miss a lesson because of an illness but must provide a doctors note. If lessons are canceled by the studio because of weather, then we will attempt to schedule a makeup lesson. If students cancel due to weather, makeup lessons are not guaranteed. If you do not show up to your lesson on time, a reminder phone call will not be made. A makeup lesson will not be made available and your lesson will not be given (unless there is ample time to complete your lesson without disruption of regularly scheduled lessons). Each student is required to practice for a minimum of 45 minutes per day. A recital will be scheduled for students who would like to perform but it is not required. A monthly schedule for the studio will be provided at the end of the prior month. Students are required to purchase their own sheet music, music books, scripts, etc.
