Judy is an excellent coach, great personality and I find her absolutely trustworthy after some 6 month of taking her lessons. I feel the language and its sounds now ways better, my communications skills at work and in casual every-day language improved to the point when my accent is still slightly recognized but does not disrupt my speech as it used to. My carrier and my life in the US has significantly improved, I feel much more confident. Will continue taking lessons to improve my speech and enjoy these hours spent with Judy's excellent pronunciation, bright mind and always-cheerful-and-friendly approach. I wish her success in her business and ABSOLUTELY recommend her as a perfect English pronunciation and speech coach. Regards, Dmitry

About

I have seven years of experience with instruction of all aspects of English language arts, Latin and writing composition. In teaching, I focus on the key elements of language and composition. These include the significance of contextual evidence, literary/rhetorical device usage, the patterns consistent throughout all languages, interpretation and comprehension of literature and perfecting the stages of the writing process. I particularly emphasize skillful word usage and sentence variation in any written work as well as in rhetoric. In order to teach language structure, I teach the vital critical thinking skills necessary to analyze and interpret languages. Those invaluable problem-solving skills extend far beyond learning the grammar and vocabulary of any language. They reach across the academic curriculum and into the professional world. Guided by my instruction, students reach their academic goals and surpass their own expectations. My primary tutoring subjects are the following: * Latin (grammar, translation, interpretation and composition) * English Language Arts * Composition * Grammar * Proofreading and Editing * Writing Skills * Literature * Study Skills/Organizational Planning

About

As a retired English teacher of 33 years, I have taught and tutored over 1200 students, as well as engaged in my own essay and creative writing. The effective use of language and literary devices such as metaphor, symbol, and imagery in classic and contemporary literature, as well as their own essays, was the primary focus of my professional career. In addition, I taught grammar skills, editing, journaling, and the writing/analysis of poetry. My students enjoyed many fruitful results from our work together: admission to prestigious schools for entrance or SAT/ACT essays; jobs editing, grant writing, or teaching; and publishing novels. Writing has been my passion for life, and I love assisting others in becoming successful writers, as well as becoming a better one myself.

About

I tutor HS and MS, Spanish, language arts, SAT prep, reading/writing comprehension, analysis, etc.; 6+1 traits of writing; step up to writing; vocabulary expansion; phoneme awareness; penmanship; and multi-sensorial approach to education. I also address social studies and other core competencies; some ES subjects such as social studies, science, arithmetic (basic 4 and intro to algebra and geometry); etc. I work well with gen pop students, as well as at-risk students and students with mild learning challenges. My tutoring rate starts at $35.00 per hour, based on the needs of the student.

About

I offer private math tutoring for all ages in a fun and exciting way! Math is an intimidating subject and many people do not like it. I have a passion for changing those views! I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics (May 2015). I also specialize and love teaching grammar, English, and helping with papers. I am also trained to do most Federal tax returns and some tax returns for businesses (sales and use tax and business tax).

Career counseling: overall and regarding a specific opportunity. The resume feedback and suggestions were excellent. It was so helpful to have someone ask the important questions and help me see gaps. I know my job and industry so well that I forget what details might require a little more description for review outside my current place of employment. Regarding a specific opportunity- the discussion was really helpful. To be given the chance to talk it through with someone who is solely invested in helping me make a good decision (my husband struggled to let go of what it would mean to move and get a new job himself). Talking through what the position offered and where it could take me next was time really well spent. Additionally talking through what kind of compensation I wanted/needed was enlightening and great practice for the conversation with the recruiter. I would absolutely reach out again. This was a great experience.

I worked with Ellen on a very large website for a prominent national franchise. She was the lead writer and editor for the project, and I was a contributing writer. I was continually in awe of Ellen's skills and talents. Not only is she an eagle-eyed editor, she's a great writer. Elleb has the ability to bring dry business stories to life, and she always finds a way to creatively approach a story. As a result of her mentorship, I'm rarely intimidated by large website writing projects. She taught me the right way to approach them!
