I have now recorded two records at Sunset Blvd Studios. The first one introduced me to the incredible talent and high quality work that is done there. The second record connected me more with Steve Dady. I am GRATEFUL beyond words for all he brings together and what he brought out of me. The top tier players are very comfortable there, the environment is a perfect balance of quality and being comfortable and his engineering skills are only matched by the way he adds his professional ear to the project. I will definitely come back again to work with him! I had preciously worked in Indiana at a large studio (5 records) and another studio in Nashville (1 record), but I am now spoiled. ~ Thank you Steve.

After recording in studio after studio and dealing with numerous producers taking over my music, I was sick of coming out of it with a product that didn't reflect my vibe or my vision. Brian really listens to what the artist wants and is able to translate that into the music he helps you create. The fact that he is the edward scissorhands of music is just a bonus. B.I. is a one stop shop, you don't ever have to deal with finding session musicians. Recording with him was so easy and low stress cuz the guy freakin plays every instrument, and he's good at them all!! I absolutely highly recommend working with Brian. He has an ear for hooks and melodies and knows popular music and his engineering is clean a flawless. Doooo it! :)

The Record Shop is a fantastic, comfortable, affordable and friendly studio located convenient to most areas of Nashville. Giovanni and John are two of the most personable, capable and professional studio Cats you will ever meet. The gear is top shelf, the sounds are crunchy and the atmosphere is totally chill. Make your next album at this studio; I certainly will. -Jas Patrick

I have had the wonderful privilege of working with Gerry Peters on my music projects for the past 6 years. My first project was a 13 song CD project from start to finish through Midi Magic Studio. The first thing to thoroughly impress me was the genuine care and interest Gerry took in capturing my dream and style for each song embellishing each one so beautifully with his own musical interpretation and style. Recording the vocals in the Midi Magic studio was equally enjoyable, feeling comfortable and at ease to express and capture what I desired for each song. Along with Gerry's musical expertise are his technical abilities, back up singers, and musicians which all work together to make each music project a smashing success. In between opportunities to work in the studio, I appreciate working with Gerry long distance, receiving the same care, promptness, and total satisfaction in completing my music. I am grateful and totally blessed to have this wonderful music resource for realizing my dreams!

About

Music is an art form. The way it is produced, recorded, edited and mixed also should be an art form. I've always been a musician and I still to this day play gigs and studio sessions and my goal as an engineer/producer/mixer is to heighten the art form of the song from a musical stand point, not a technical one.

About

I went to school in Phoenix, AZ, for audio engineering, and I graduated with a 4.0. I record any style of music or advertisements for the radio.

I am aiming for a kitchen-style live recording and I need the following 1. Two good omni mics (a stereo pair of Earthworks QTC-40s ( http://www.earthworksaudio.com/microphones/qtc-series-2/qtc40/), which we can either use as a stereo pair or we can separate them, there will be 2 / 3 musicians. They go directly into a Korg MR-1000 digital recorder; it has built-in preamps that are pretty good. Someone who have this equipment so that I can rent it for two days. 2. The Korg has only two inputs, and since this will be live the "mixing" will be done through microphone placement. 3. We will be recording 48kHz/24 bit WAV files. 4. We'll need two or three boom stands for the mics and the mic clips (including shock mounts)
